La Villa Marbella

"We had a pleasant 2-night stay at La Villa Marbella. The hotel is located conveniently in Old Town on a quiet street, away from the bustle of the crowds. If you want to take a car to/from the hotel, I recommend using a local taxi as they are allowed to enter the interior streets (you have to walk a bit further if you're using a rideshare app). The staff were all very friendly and professional - Ben specifically was really nice and gave us lots of recommendations. As far as amenities goes, our room had a coffee/tea bar as well as a mini fridge. The hotel itself is kind of like a house that was converted into an inn, I don't think there were common areas, and there are no elevators. The stairs are narrow and unless you're staying in a room on the main floor, it's not the most accessibility-friendly. Our room was large enough for our needs, and was well-maintained by the cleaning staff. The main drawback was the ants - we left snacks on the credenza and found ants the hard way. The staff did their best to get rid of them, but there was a wall that they appear to be coming from. Once we got rid of food and the staff used a spray, we didn't have further issues (they were harmless for the most part). We don't really eat in our hotel, but it did make us think twice about bringing food souvenirs or drinks to the room. I understand this is an old building with shared walls, so insects may be an issue, but this is probably the only thing preventing our stay from being a 10/10."

We were greeted and treated in a friendly and professional way and all interaction with staff was in a very hospitable manner. The hotel itself was spotless throughout and the room was cleaned daily regardless of our necessity. The hotel is located perfectly for exploring Marbella old town and the city in general. I would wholly recommend staying there and will definitely return if I'm in the area."

"This hotel is a hidden gem and was very reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the comments from previous guests. Ignore the bad reviews, our stay was great from start to finish. We arrived at around 1:30pm, well before the check in of 4pm, but the lady on reception was very helpful and said that our room would be ready in 20-30 minutes. She gave us a voucher for a free welcome drink whilst we waited for our room. The outside seating and pool areas were lovely and kept clean & tidy. Our room was on the third floor, with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel (where there are some lovely restaurants to grab a drink or a bite to eat). The room was clean, bright and spacious. The kitchenette had a sink, fridge, microwave, toaster and electric hob. We only used the fridge, to store drinks and snacks, but it was very handy as there is a mini supermarket yards from the hotel. The room had full length blackout curtains, so we slept very well and we were not disturbed by any noises from outside. The hotel is in a great location a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the harbour, and approximately 5-10 minutes from the old town (depending on how quickly you walk). All of the staff were always friendly and helpful, we will definitely stay there again."

"The Hotel Lima is located in a vibrant part of Marbella. The location is perfect to walk to many, many restaurants, bars and the ocean. The staff was outstanding. They treated us like friends and helped answer all of our questions. The room was cleaned every day including clean towels. The breakfast buffet was good but not worth the price. There were many other restaurants minutes away. Parking is challenging at this location. However, the hotel has several assigned parking spots at an underground parking structure. That location’s was safe and clean. If you’re looking for a quality, convenient hotel in Marbella, Hotel Lima is an excellent choice!"
