Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s. –Good to Know– •Unassigned parking is available on 6th Avenue. Trailers and RV's are no allowed to park in front of the building. An oversized vehicle lot is located at the west end of 9th Avenue. •As with most properties in the area, this home does not have air conditioning, but it does have a whole house fan. •Intermittent interior renovation construction is underway in the first floor unit. This vacation home is located on the third floor and the noise is minimal. About the Area: Nestled at the San Juan Gateway, Ouray offers year-round outdoor activities and everything you could want during your Colorado mountain vacation any time of year. In the spring, summer, and fall months visitors enjoy exploring, riding ATVs, hiking, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding excursions, and fishing. During the winter season bring your snowshoes, ice climbing gear, Downhill or Nordic skis and enjoy a wide variety of winter activities. Ice climbing at the world-famous Ouray Ice Park boasts more than 150 named ice and mixed climbs, spanning almost 2 miles of the Uncompahgre Gorge. Take a scenic 60-minute drive to Telluride Ski Resort with top five in the nation ski runs, according to Conde Nast. Enjoy a variety of great local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, live entertainment venues, unique shops and Ouray Hot Springs. Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount. In contrast, cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. Great location. Would stay here again even knowing we would have to schlep our three LARGE suitcases plus water and groceries up two flights of stairs. We knew that going in so we were mentally prepared … if only our sea level lungs were prepared . It’s a great place. Loved be able to open all the windows for a chilly fresh breeze. Walkable to anything in town and great people watching from the balcony. Only minor downside was no AC - when we arrived the unit was at 79 degrees so we opened as many windows as possible and turned on some fans, which when paired with the cool weather overnight, got it down to 73 degrees by the next morning. It was just the first night that was a little too warm for us, but the rest of the nights were fine and it overall didn’t impact our stay. We would definitely stay again! ##### Lauren V. This apt was great to sit on the deck and enjoy the sun hitting the mountain and water fall. Kids loved they could run out the door and grab food or shop. Cute little touches to the place with their vacation rental kits. We like to park one time and walk everywhere, and this condo is perfect. Great layout, very clean and comfortable, and perfect location to be convenient to everything. It was a wonderful location next to downtown shopping and restaurants. Amazing views from every window. The condo was very clean and well stocked.
