"Friendly staff at the hotel. Room was clean. Basic breakfast. Enjoyed the outdoor pool. We were on the third floor and there is no elevator. It can be difficult when carrying a lot of luggage. Guests should be aware there are pump containers on the wall with liquid soap, body wash and shampoo. They do not dispense very much so one may want to bring some."

The Farm House - Quiet Country Retreat! Great for Any Season - Pet Friendly!

"We had such a great time with the farm house. As former residents of the area, we can confirm this is true farm house experience: gravel roads, farm land, sunsets, brief storms, windmills, and a huge bonus backing up to the conservation area. Over our trip we saw so much wildlife from white tail deer, coyotes, a ground hog, bats, a family of raccoons, and a bald eagle.Being rural does mean you need to plan for a few necessities if you aren't used to farm life. the two biggest is first bring bottle water for drinking and cooking since well water in MO is heavily farm influenced but fine for showers/laundry. Second don't skip bug spray on your ankles/shoes if you plan to explore any of the grassy areas because the chiggers will find you lol.House it self is also the real deal, but updated enough to provide a comfortable experience. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, napkins, trash bags, etc."

"Brad and Lorie are excellent hosts with speedy communication, genuine concern, and flexibility. Families gathered from out of state for a wedding and each had their own private suite to rest and get ready. We fished the three ponds on the property and caught the biggest bluegill we’d ever seen. The kids also enjoyed feeding the Scottish highland cattle and the adults soaked in the hot tub. The view causes a person to pause and be thankful."

"Our room was clean and everything worked, with the exception of no hot water, just warm. I'm usually so happy to see protein on the breakfast menu, but the sausage links were too overcooked to ear, and I literally spit out eggshells in the eggs!! Also, they don't keep food refilled! By 8 a.m. they were out of eggs and waffles!! That's NOT ok when you advertise breakfast from 6-9 a.m.!! We were very disappointed!"
