"Very clean room, a nice comfy bed, the food in the restaurant was lovely. Would definitely return. I would be a good idea to have a vending machine in the hotel part so you can get a drink in the middle of the night if needed."

"Staff are great and went out of their way to ask if a couple wanted to swap their twin room for our double. Room was very dusty on windowsill and other surfaces. Milk stains on the furniture that had the tea facilities and generally not well cleaned. Bedding looked like it had been hurriedly thrown on, same with towels. Breakfast was really nice with friendly staff again. "

"First stay here for a party in Brighouse. Superb welcome from staff on arrival and shown to our room. Accommodation is across the road from the pub and events so nice and quiet and a great space at the front of the building for a evening drink. Very interesting range of ales and other drinks in the pub and an excellent breakfast. "Clean and tidy, this Northern Quarter boutique hotel is a good alternative for a city centre stay with character. The room was compact but very tidy. The bathroom was cosy, with the shower being a little bit small, but all functional and full of charm. All in all an enjoyable stay."

"Hotel is right in the heart of Buxton, a convenient walk from the station. It was absolutely buzzing the whole time we were there - bands both nights, live sport in the day, but with the rooms being in a separate building out the back of the pub, it was amazingly quiet after the yard had been emptied. Clean throughout, staff were friendly."
