Breakfast was good although some of the hot items were only room temperature. Bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel needed a deep cleaning. My television was tilted sideways and had an extremely snowy screen. The sheer curtains were in shreds.

We liked the location, right off a main highway with a wonderful seafood restaurant that we were able to walk to. The lady at the desk told us exactly where to park, convenient to our room location. Breakfast was diverse and food was fresh and tasty. The room was spacious with a couch included. The bathroom was small with limited counter space. Overall, we were happy.

T.v. freezes every day all day !! Water won't go down the sink mold on the wall of the shower!! Water drips from the bathroom ceiling on to toilet seat !! At times bad smell of sewage. Got room online for a week came from Texas spent a lot of money for the room had to stay .Thank God old Saybrook was beautiful and a lot to see and do + the beach !! But NEVER will stay there again!!! Looks good online don't be fooled

I’m giving this hotel a 5-star rating not because the facilities and amenities are 5-star quality, but because of how professionally and thoughtfully management handled an issue I experienced during my most recent stay. I’ve stayed here several times over the summer for quick weekend getaways because of its convenient location near the beach. The property is somewhat dated and could use updating, but I feel the room rates are reasonable and reflective of the accommodations. I did have an issue with my most recent reservation. While I haven’t always found the front desk staff to be particularly accommodating, the General Manager was exceptional. Once I brought my concern to his attention, he addressed it promptly, efficiently, and professionally. I couldn’t have asked for a more understanding or satisfactory resolution. His response demonstrated that management genuinely values its guests, and I greatly appreciated the respect and consideration shown. For that reason, I’ll continue to return for quick weekend getaways and would be happy to recommend the hotel to others.

Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable and quiet room. Beautiful headboard on the bed. Can walk to a nice restaurant. Excellent pool. Great location, but you will need a car. The hotel was very clean, though the carpets were a little worn, and there was a little paint missing from the walls. Breakfast is about average for a low priced hotel.
