"While the location may be a hike from areas like the train station or Gwangalli Beach, the property itself is very swanky. The room is spacious, the appointments are very high end, the beds are soft, and the bathrooms are *to die for*. I felt like I'd been in the shower for an hour after just 7 minutes. Great hotel."

"Hotel was very nice, staff was great! Breakfast was nice also! The location is very far from the city center and there aren’t any restaurants or convenience stores near the hotel . It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere! The trains don’t even go there. You have to take a bus or uber. Uber is about $16 USD into the city. Also no pool or gym. "

"We had a great stay here in the family room. Loved being right on the water with the views of ferries, fishing boats, etc. Although the boats can be a little loud when coming and going in the early hours, the room/location itself is pretty quiet. Staff were very nice and although they don't speak much English you can communicate easily using your phone's translation apps (like Papago). Cooking utensils in the room were very limited but we loved the free fresh ground espresso in the lobby and Tongyeong has many inexpensive and delicious food options. Overall, the hotel and room are somewhat aged and faded and the amenities are quite basic, but we didn't care: the bed was clean and comfortable and the location is unbeatable. For the price it was a great deal."
