Soak in unobstructed ocean views from the upper and lower decks or soak away your cares in the private pool and spa. Meticulously designed and thoughtfully laid out, you’ll find no detail overlooked at this spectacular property. On the upper floor, the light neutral tones of the main living space soothe the senses and draw the eye to the breathtaking horizon beyond. A curved sectional provides plenty of seating to gather and watch the big game on the wall-mounted Smart TV or appreciate the quiet glow of the flames from the gas fireplace. The elegant but sturdy dining table waits for meals or family game nights and seats 10\. There are seats for an additional three guests at the adjoining kitchen island. Featuring plenty of counter and storage space, the gourmet kitchen is furnished with high-end appliances and all the equipment you need to whip up your favorite recipes or local fresh seafood. A half bath is located down the hall for your convenience. Each bedroom features its own private en-suite full bath and a flat screen TV for personal entertainment. Just off the kitchen, you’ll find the bunk room, with two twin-over-double bunk beds, and an attached bath with a standard tub/shower combo and double vanity. As you move down the hallway, the next bedroom is furnished with a king bed and the bathroom features a gorgeous tile step-in shower. At the end of the hall, a small office space is furnished with a wall-to-wall desk, keyboard, mouse and monitor for those who still have to keep up with work or school. Across the way, a spa-like master suite contains a king size bed and direct porch access. The attached bath is furnished with a double vanity and an expansive step-in tile shower that also contains a separate soaking tub within the shower enclosure. The exact same bedroom and bathroom arrangement is echoed on the lower floor, with another bunk room and two more king bedrooms available on that level. As you exit the stairs, a second living area complete with a kitchenette is located to the left and provides access to the lower deck and pool area beyond. A small exercise room is provided off this space, complete with a Peloton bike, hand weights and yoga mats, a barre and a full-length mirror, along with your choice of the provided TV or the ocean views beyond for motivation. The laundry room is just down the hall, featuring a full-sized stackable washer and dryer. Venturing outside, you’ll find a gas grill available for outdoor entertaining, and you can’t beat the view from the pool and spa. Mostly shaded, there are two poolside lounge chairs and additional seating along with a sturdy wooden picnic table here. Your private wooden boardwalk stretches over the wetlands to the sand beyond, ensuring beach access is a breeze. The porches on both levels are furnished with ceiling fans for days when the sea breeze is a bit less enthusiastic. On the upper-level covered porch, you’ll find a comfortable outdoor sofa facing the outdoor gas fireplace, along with additional seating facing the waves beyond. The quiet, private lot is centrally located on Oak Island, and is only a quick walk to Food Lion, restaurants, mini golf and shopping. Located on a side street with extremely limited public beach access parking spaces, you’ll find this is one of the most uncrowded sections of Oak Island’s white sand beach even during the peak of the summer season. However it was not at all clean when we arrived. Food under the beds, dirty bath mats, area around pool not swept, trash cans outside absolutely full . We had nowhere to put out trash until the Tuesday pick up four days after we arrived. Management sent a cleaning crew over the day after we arrived. Trash was put out for collection 2 days after we arrived but not emptied until pick up day. 3 stars because of above problems. There definitely needs to be better oversight of cleaning etc as it really spoiled our first couple of days having to call re problems. The house itself was so beautiful with a magnificent view, but the state of cleaning etc and was unacceptable. ##### Mary K. Having a second area on the pool level was great for the kids. The covered outdoor space on the main level was especially nice because it was shaded. Had been a little apprehensive about the length of the boardwalk to the beach but it was not a factor. Having access to a cart to haul stuff out was a bonus! The kids got a kick out of seeing an alligator (named him Kyle) and a deer. Kitchen had all the necessary equipment for a large group. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and the pool when they tired of the beach. Overall, a great week and hope to rent again next year. ##### Laurie H. Grocery store within easy walking distance. We were able to see alligators in the marshland (we were safe on the dock/walkway!) which was a highlight for my boys. However, it look us an hour to get into the house. We received no check in instructions and then called multiple times on an “emergency” line to try and get assistance from someone. Once we finally got someone, they were pleasant and helpful, but getting help was frustrating. Without the checkin headache, a perfect trip! ##### Caroline C.
