What is the best area to stay in Non Thong?
The best area to stay in Non Thong is the vicinity of the Phu Laen Kha National Park entrance, particularly around the village of Ban Tha Mafai Wan.

This area serves as the primary gateway to the national park's attractions, including the striking Mor Hin Khao rock formations, often referred to as the 'Stonehenge of Thailand'. It's a rural, tranquil setting, with accommodation options typically being guesthouses or small resorts that blend into the natural surroundings. You'll find local eateries offering traditional Thai cuisine nearby.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape and nature lovers will find this area particularly appealing. It offers direct access to hiking trails, scenic viewpoints, and the opportunity to experience the region's natural beauty without the distractions of a city.
When is the best time to go to Non Thong?
The best time to visit Non Thong is during the cool and dry season, which typically runs from November to February.

During these months, the weather is most pleasant, with cooler temperatures and less humidity, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. You'll find it comfortable for hiking in the nearby national parks, visiting local markets, and enjoying the relaxed pace of rural life without the intense heat or heavy rainfall.

This period is particularly good for families looking for a comfortable travel experience. The milder weather makes it easier to spend extended periods outdoors, whether you're exploring the waterfalls of Tat Ton National Park or enjoying a picnic by the Pa Hin Ngam stone garden. It's also a great time for couples seeking a peaceful getaway, as the cooler evenings are great for dining al fresco or simply relaxing.
