I brought my 10 year old son and 85 year old mother. She loved how well the kitchen was stock with everything one could need. Every morning she made coffee, they had both types of coffee makers, and breakfast. The house had the basic spices including salt and pepper. The pool was cold but that didn’t stop my son. After returning from the beach, he swam every afternoon. He found plenty of sharks’ teeth on the beach. When I had questions about the TV the host responded in a timely manner. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were super clean. I was able to unwind from my stressful job and just relax. ##### Denise P. Loved all the beach equipment and kitchen had everything I could ask for to prep any size meal! My one suggestion is for rod holders on the dock or even a pvc in the bank. Quick ride to publix and the beaches and downtown Venice. The neighborhood was nice, quiet and safe. The pool was great to jump in after a long day at the beach, and the backyard a beautiful view to start the day. The backyard needed to be weeded and the back porch swept out, but overall, a clean place. Owners responded right away to any questions I might have had. ##### Jennifer R. There is a very nice screened in area with a table and chairs, making the room comfortable for sheltered outdoor dining. The screened in area opens on to an open deck with a rather large well-kept pool. Despite the oppressive Florida heat and humidity, the house was cool and comfortable. Walking in the evenings, the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. The old downtown (i.e., boutique) part of Venice is about a seven minute drive. We enjoyed the Saturday morning farmer’s market, which, in the off-season, was modest and uncrowded. We bought some wonderful fresh challa, and even some gluten free bread. We did delivery pizza dinner from Made in Italy. All very good, but family members were especially pleased with the gluten free crust pizza. Also scope out the oil and vinegar place.
