This hotel simply does not meet five-star standards. The biggest disappointment was not a single maintenance issue, but the overall neglect, poor hygiene, and the complete lack of genuine customer care. Even after speaking with the manager several times, Our concerns were largely dismissed, leaving us feeling ignored rather than valued as guests. We will also be forwarding our experience to the hotel chain’s management, as we believe they should be aware that this property is not representing their brand at the expected standard. To give a few examples, there was a persistent sewage smell around the pool area, the pool itself appeared poorly maintained. We were told we could only have one piece of chicken, and at one point there wasn’t even a simple cup of ice available. When we raised these issues, the manager said the hotel had between 900 and 1,000 guests, as if that excused the standards. He also remarked that he could not come every time a guest asked to speak with him. We understand August is busy, but that is precisely when a five-star hotel is expected to be properly staffed and maintained. These responses left us feeling ignored, and that basic guest concerns were not taken . We want to stress that these are just a few examples, and there were many other issues throughout our stay. The overall pattern was tiring and disappointing,

Wonderful location. Wonderful food and near nightly entertainment. Why I would not come back is the lack of attention to detail. Everything looks esthetically pleasing but the ceiling is falling from water damage, finger prints on every window and glass door, mold on the grout near the shower nob, and flaking paint on our wood railings on our patio, to name just a few areas in need of attention. This may have been a 5 star at one time, and could be again but the rsort needs work. We did manage to have a lovely time regardless.

"The room was clean but it did need some general repairs. The breakfast area was spotless but as with many buffet style breakfast the food was cold. The swimming pool area was far busier than the hotel guests would have made it. I think that local families used it as well as hotel guests."
