The hotel is like visiting your favorite grandmother's home, charming, quirky, and old. This is the real France, with its modest discomforts and idiosyncrasies. Excellent location to visit the area - we did several amazing hikes and visited Tourette sur Loup and Vence. We especially enjoyed the beautiful terrace with its fantastic views. We enjoyed a great dinner on the terrace of prepared food and ordered a few glasses of wine from the bar. We have been touring France and everyone we have met has been kind and helpful. The owner was aggressive and would not communicate in English. There was only one room left when we booked. This was room 6\. It was dirty (eg a corner of the room was disgustingly full of spiders and I think I got flea bites from the carpet). There were no accessible electric points in the room. It was old and wallpaper cracked. There was a fan but it was huge and took up most of the room. Seems other rooms may be better but do not stay in this room and Expedia, please stop selling.
