Wonderful stay!
Wonderful suite that was perfect for our visit to Niagara on the lake. 2 beautiful rooms. Coffee/tea/water and a mini-fridge. Easy door coded check in. Close to everything. Easy parking.

Donna looked after us fantastically well and provided great recommendations for places to walk and visit. Everything that could be provided for comfort and convenience was there, and more beyond (Earl Grey tea bags and fresh milk a great hit for us!) Extremely comfortable with lovely furnishings and jacuzzi bath. Would not hesitate to recommend very highly - best place we have stayed on our trip by far.

The owners were very welcoming and the property is comfortable and cozy. Breakfast is offsite but it was at a lovely location with good food and service. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Butler Creek again.

The breakfast coupon to the Golf Course on Lake Ontario was simply wonderful. The rooms were great and everything we could need was provided by the host and hostess. The parking was super and the location with respect to Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls Ontario and the Château des Charmes winery was great.

We love the rooms… which are really more like a suite. The location is great. We booked Zoom bikes about 300 yards away and then cycled everywhere.

My 2 friends and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The Hosts thought of every detail and made us feel right at home. The breakfast at the golf course was amazing and we really enjoyed being so close to everything (20 min walk to old town or a 5 min drive). If you stay here, you must try Ruffino's (It is a restaurant that is a 5 min walk away and it is amazing Italian food). There is also a lovely bakery/cafe only a 3 min walk away. Great location. Great Stay. We will book again in the furture. I have stayed at a few BnB's in Niagara on the lake and this was one of the best. P.s - We did a "grape escapes" tour and it picked us up and dropped us off right from the house. We did the 3 winery visits with dinner included package. AMAZING.

A beautiful property with lovely rooms. Coffee, tea, milk or cream ,ice, and water provided with a good size refrigerator. The breakfast at the golf club was very good with great views of the Lake Ontario. Just a 5 minute ride away. The proprietor gave us suggestions of things to do. (We went to a small farmers market that was suggested and I bought honey and jam there. Also in the same shopping area is a good gift store. We also went to a winery that had a coupon in the gift bag in the room that was great. Bella Terra vineyards. it's a smaller winery, family owned and a nice place. Highly recommend!

A great B&B - excelllent hosts. The suite was super spacious - hard to find this kind of value elsewhere. We particularly liked breakfast at the historic Golf Club with a window view across the Niagara River to Old Fort Niagara. We would recommend this stay to anyone.

The Butler Creek house more than met our expectations! It is under new ownership and they thought of everything down to having bottles of water near the beds. We absolutely loved it. Only downfall is last time we stayed here we were allowed access to the hot tub and that is no longer available. It’s understandable just a little disappointing.

We have owned BCH since September 2017, so not new, only new to you... and we haven't offered the use of our hot tub since 2018, a couple from Buffalo spoiled it for all. It is a beautiful home on a quiet street and the owners gave us a warm welcome. We can only say good things about this home and would recommend it to anybody easy. The accommodation is excellent and very comfortable including the amenities. We had a voucher for an enjoyable Breakfast at the Golf Club close by. We have spent 2 very nice days in Butler Creek House. The accomodation is above exceptional, the hosts are perfect. Quiet and secluded place, but still in a walkable distance to downtown NOTL. We loved every minute of our stay.

The hosts Donna Lee and Matt made us feel so welcome. They thought of everything. They communicated with us almost immediately after we completed our reservation. Our room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient and quiet. The Sand Trap Pub, where we ate our dinners, was a 5 minute walk away. The food there was delicious and the service amazing. Breakfast at the Niagara on the Lake Golf Club was excellent. If we come back to Niagara on the Lake, we definitely will go back to The Butler Creek B & B.

We were pleasantly surprised how large and well laid out the room was. There were also lots of little extras such as shower gel, tea and water in the room. Great location on a quiet street.

Non existent interaction with proprietors no ambience of B and B and other reviews spoke of friendliness but now no breakfast and you receive a credit chit for a breakfast locally. Host literally stuck her head out of a closed door and asked us to fill in a registration and that was it. You walked into a hall with closed doors and a sign take off your shoes- says it all - overpriced and terrible and for sale! Host doesn’t care anymore!

Fortunately problem guests like yourself are extremely rare, what's consistent among all of you though is your lack of respect when it comes to staying in a personal residence that is a B&B. Your disrespect for us in our home and by all your comments shows that a hotel is really the only place you should be staying. Our beautiful vaulted atrium is absolutely closed off to the personal side of our home, this is by design and much appreciated by our guests and multiple regulars too because it allows for a private guest entrance. It also clearly defines the guests common area in our home where guests are required to wear masks, which you DID NOT, apparently Pandemic regulations don't apply to you. It's also the place where we ask guests to remove their shoes as they enter our home, again a problem area for you. It's interesting that you say you had no interaction with us... not sure what you were expecting but our job isn't to entertain you. We did however have to ask you to fill out the registration form because it's a legal requirement for you to do so AND this requirement is included in the emails we send out to all guests, we shouldn't have had to ask you for this. We also stepped out to welcome you upon your arrival and again said hello the next morning where you made reference to "how beautiful" the room was and then mentioned you had an issue with the TV, again a failure to follow the very clear instructions provided in your room. And as is customary we wished you a wonderful day! With respect to breakfast now being off property at the historical Niagara on the Lake Golf Club, oldest in North America, with the only dinning room view of the lake, you were informed of this being the case multiple times at time of booking, again a failure to read important information. Another critical requirement that we inform our guests thoroughly about is that we are a Scent Free Property. This means NO perfumes or colognes are acceptable here yet there you were gassing up our home and forcing my husband to open windows in the cold weather to air the place out and to use his inhaler for his asthma that you managed to trigger. Yes our home is for sale and hopefully decent people will eventually buy it, not rude, disrespectful and ungrateful people like yourselves. Cultural pro tip for you, never refer to a home being for sale with the tone of arrogance and entitlement you've displayed here. Selling is a personal thing and sometimes is for tragic reasons that need NOT be commented on by people like you. Finally our care and concern for the quality of our guest's stay with us is one of the highest rated in our town as is evidenced in your very comment to us about how "beautiful" your room was. My best travel advice for you is to stay home that way you won't be making such destructive comments to small businesses fighting desperately hard to stay afloat during the Pandemic. The Butler Creek House is a perfect location to explore Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Niagara Region. Our room was phenomenally spacious, beautifully appointed, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast on the Front Veranda each morning was a highlight of our stay. Great food and serene start to our day. Excellent location just on the edge of an (already small) town meant we could walk (or bicycle!! - you really have to bicycle) into town, or equally quickly drive in whatever direction our destination was located. Local vineyards abound. Matt was an amazing host. A great choice for us and I'm sure for you.

Donna Lee and Matt were the perfect hosts, and the breakfast was next level good. Like restaurant quality and standard. I could easily pay close to $20 for what they served, and they were super accommodating to our dietary needs, and were just lovely conversationalists. They're both super interesting people, so I would encourage anyone to chat them up a bit! Not terribly close to the main, downtown part of the city, but we knew that going in, and really enjoyed all the walking. Our internet wasn't working for one of the days, but we didn't say anything, so they probably would have fixed it, if we would have had a problem with that (we didn't). Highly recommend this wonderful place.
