We used the hotel for a one night stay plus breakfast and a meet point for a coffee with family before our journey home up north. Hotel was beautifully presented, easy to find and clean. As with most hotels that are not new, there were small picky bits around the hotel that a good housekeeper would pick up on… light bulbs out, chip on ceramic bath tub, one bath towel in double occupancy, light discoloured curtains. However, a pleasant stay, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, beds were clean and fresh, coffee lounge/bar accommodating and with a modern feel. Great choice to stay. Would recommend 😊

What a beautiful hotel! Very stylish the bar and dining room felt like an exclusive ski lodge, with a warming fire and soft background music. Staff were lovely throughout. We had a basic classic room and that was absolutely fine nothing more required.

Very clean and modern hotel, public areas were in excellent deco, our room would have benefited from updating and was a little tied, although clean and comfortable. The Pool and Spa area was very good and food in the evening and breakfast was very tasty, however only scrambled egg on offer, although we did not ask about alternatives. Would have expected a little more breakfast variety for £16 per head. Overall staff were very friendly, helpful and provided and brilliant service, would definitely stay again.

The reception, restaurant and bar areas are beautiful and if the whole hotel was to this standard, it would absolutely be worth the overnight rate. However, the rooms are tired and in need of updating. They are beautifully clean, but the decor is out dated the carpets were tired and puckered, and the air conditioning is ineffective (we did not complain as it was the middle of the night before we realised and were only staying one night). We had several rooms booked as a Business Event and everyone said the same so it isn't me being picky. The staff were very friendly at Reception, and our experience at the bar was excellent. The food we ordered in the Press restaurant at lunch did take a very long time to arrive and it wasn't even busy, but the food itself was good. The breakfast buffet was a little chaotic as we went at a peak time, but the space allocated in the restaurant for the number of guests is a little cramped and again, the hotel was not near full capacity in our opinion. That said, the bar areas and outdoor areas are beautiful and I'm sure the rest of the hotel will follow suit when investment allows. Huge potential to be outstanding, but right now it's just good.
