Wonderful Stay

Jose and Stefanie were great hosts. When we had an issue arise they were quick to fix it. The communication was great and the location of the property was perfect being so close to the beach.

Very roomy house that can comfortably accommodate a big crew. Location was convenient to the USCGA. Best part was the host who was extremely responsive and helpful.

Wedding weekend fun

The house was great! Perfect amount of space and bathrooms to host my family for my daughter’s wedding. Adorable house with very comfortable beds. There was everything we needed for a beach weekend of fun.

A terrific family vacation spot!! Everything accessible, awesome property management. The ONLY reason it is not full 5 stars is I thought some of the rooms were bigger, that’s all. So close to the beach, restaurants, shopping Mystic. Thank you very much for a great week!!!!

Lovely property/Great Location

This property is just lovely. It served well our family of 7 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room and great accomodations. The location is wonderful. Very short drive to Ocean Beach and Harkness State Park which, is not to be missed. Many thanks to our host(s) who was/were very responsive if we needed anything.

USCGA Graduation

This was a great place for us to have the whole family for a graduation from the USCGA. Plenty of space for everyone and a great outdoor area that we used a lot since the weather was beautiful. The hosts were very responsive. We would stay again.

Sisters' weekend!

A wonderful weekend celebrating our first sisters' weekend since before the pandemic. House was inviting, comfortable, fully stocked and the perfect location for us! It had everything we needed to make us feel at home. We want to make this an annual event!

Girl Trip

The property was perfect for our group of 3 women. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed (we like to cook) and the location was in a quiet neighborhood. The property would also be ideal for a large family group.

We had a group of 10 stay here for a girl’s weekend. There was so much space for all of us to spread out and enjoy ourself! The house was very clean and the owners were very responsive to questions. I would stay here again.

Connecticut trip

We rented José’s place to visit my nephew, who is in the Navy. The place was clean, spacious, and very accommodating. We loved it! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. Thanks José!!

Clean and great communication

We had an overall pleasant stay. A few TV issues and I would park in front of the house as the driveway scraped our rent van pretty badly pulling in due to a huge bump as you enter. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable! Great location as well! The owner was very quick to communicate with any questions we had.

Family gathering for a celebration of life

The house was clean, well stocked, with roomy bedrooms and beds and comfy common/dining rooms. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Only complaint is with Vrbo and the difficulty of the on line experience. Please fix your access to be easier to understand and use.

Great location

We were in town for a wedding at Eolia Mansion. Great location for the purpose. The house suited our family of 7 plus 2 pups. Nice porch and yard to spread out in. Enjoyed taking walks to the beach and biking to Harkness Park. Jose was readily available for any questions and concerns.

Great property to use to visit Mystic & surrounding area's

Nice quiet neighborhood. Plenty of bedrooms, really great comfy beds, & 3 bathrooms! WONDERFUL!!! Large dining room table where you all can gather for meals. The very best guide book of how the house works, places to eat & general information that was so nice to know, not being from around there. Welcome snacks, a very nice touch! Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to visit UConn, the navel academy or the Mystic Seaport area.

10/10 Perfect family house by the beach!

Our first family trip was a hit! We had an amazing time at this house with plenty of space for three families to come together. We had three kids that enjoyed running around the backyard during downtime. The second living room downstairs was perfect to keep the kids active while others slept! The host was very responsive to any questions we had. We are already talking about coming back next year and highly recommend this house as it’s also super close to the beach!

Family reunion

We had groups of family members coming and going all week. We flew in from Wisconsin, the house was amazing and had everything we needed! From beach towels, passes, toys, chairs, etc. Everyone not only loved the spaciousness of the house, but also the back yard and the closeness of the beautiful beach.

Family Weekend

We had an amazing weekend in New London. The house was spotless, comfortable and well maintained with plenty of room for four adults and 7 kids ages 8-14. The yard was lovely and the home was well stocked with kitchen and bath items as well as beach chairs and toys. We were a quick ride from Mystic and Ocean Beach was a great way to spend the day. On the second morning, the thermostat wasn't working and the owner replied immediately to my text and helped us get it figured out. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing time away.

Great value, just needs a little attention

My family had a great time at the Beech Hut! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need, the dining room can hold 10 people with available folding chairs, and the deck outside has some great new features not on the listing. The living room was comfy and spacious, and almost all of the beds incredibly comfortable! The downstairs family room was perfect for our needs, as was the bunk room and all three bathrooms. Plenty of linens and supplies on site for a great stay. The beach passes save you a ton of money, and the street it is on is very quiet! There were a few items that just need attention by the property owner, which may have already been addressed as I’m writing this. The first is that the whole house A/C had a bad thermostat that turned off after 7pm. There were two window units to support the old whole house A/C unit, but that only works if you leave the bedroom doors open at night (not ideal with a family of 10). In addition there are no A/C vents in the downstairs large bedroom, the only way to get A/C is to leave the door open to the family room. Second, the dryer in the basement does not vent correctly, which results in so much steam in that bathroom that the ceiling was raining. There are no vents in the bathrooms, so after showers and such they were very humid for a long time. This property is a great value for a family of up to 10, and it clearly being updated over time by the owner, just needs that final little push!
