Best Western Chilworth Manor Hotel

"Fabulous hotel! Great location for the Seawork expo I was attending the following day. All your staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. I'm particularly grateful to one of your female bar staff who retrieved my laptop which I left on a seat after a meeting, really sorry, I don't know her name but I'm so grateful. This was a work trip but I'll definitely be back whether for professional or personal reasons."

"A fabulous place to holiday at. Stayed at the Brambles with full internet. The lodge was beautifully set up before we arrived with the beds made and the table laid. We stayed in a lodge that slept 8 with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which was an ensuite. There was a fridge freezer, washing machine, oven and dishwasher plus 3 TVs. Unfortunately it rained all week but there was a deck to sit on, a nice swimming pool, you could walk the Llamas for a fee and there was a good onsite food shop. Nice clean, tidy site with forest walks."

"We stayed at The Potters Heron recently and had a fantastic experience overall. The staff were excellent, really friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel itself is in a lovely location and has a really nice feel to it. It seems quite newly finished or recently updated, as the décor inside was very well done and gave the place a premium, comfortable feel. The food was really nice, and breakfast in particular was excellent. We ate in during our stay and were very impressed. The only slight downside was the size of the room. We booked for two adults and two children, and although the lovely staff brought in two pull-out beds for the children, this did make the room quite cramped. Considering the price paid for the room, which was fairly high, a little more space would have been ideal. That said, this was only a minor point in what was otherwise a really enjoyable stay. Great staff, lovely surroundings, excellent food and a very well-presented hotel. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend it."

"Simply cannot say enough good things about the George and the staff there! A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. The room was clean, comfortable and I felt right at home the moment I got there. All the facilities you can expect in a hotel room. Bed was comfy, sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean and well put together given the limited space available. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was no shortage of options to suit everyone. I had the eggs benedict and felt set up and ready for the day ahead. But most of all the staff were exceptional. All were friendly, helpful and really easy to approach with queries. In particular they went out of their way to help me, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this place to anyone and would be happy to come again!"

"We recently stayed at Gray Manor Hotel, and while the reception team was friendly and welcoming, the property itself is significantly run down and poorly maintained. The grounds are highly neglected, cluttered with dilapidated sheds, and covered in rubbish. Inside the room, the lifted laminate flooring was a genuine safety hazard. Furthermore, the room was incredibly hot with only a loud mini fan provided, and a constant, heavy mechanical noise from a pump ran all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The Wi-Fi was also highly unreliable, and the TV would not connect to any network. While the staff is doing their best, the hotel requires urgent attention regarding basic maintenance, safety, and hygiene. We ultimately had to check out early due to these conditions."
