Top Nesflaten Hotel Reviews

2 bedroom lovely home in Røldal

2 bedroom lovely home in Røldal

8/10 Good
"The cabin is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains. There is a Coop supermarket situated just across the road which was very helpful as we could find no other shops for miles around and very convenient for charging an electric car.I’ve not given it full stars as the cabin wasn’t particularly clean when we arrived and not totally kitted out for 5 guests, there weren’t enough cups and not really enough seating. The beds were also very uncomfortable.Saying that, we had a great time and it was in a good location for what we wanted to do. Also had very good heating which we found useful for drying so our equipment."

This area is the heart of Nesflaten, situated by the Suldalsvatnet lake. The accommodation is known for its distinctive architectural design, offering views of the surrounding natural landscape. It's the central point for exploring the region's industrial heritage and natural beauty.

For couples seeking a peaceful retreat with a focus on design and nature, this area is ideal. You can enjoy strolls by the lake, explore the power station's visitor centre, and appreciate the unique architecture. Families looking for a calm base for outdoor adventures will also find this area suitable. The proximity to the lake allows for activities like fishing or gentle walks.

The extended daylight hours, sometimes lasting close to 20 hours, mean you have ample time to enjoy the scenic fjords and mountains. This is also when local attractions and tourist facilities are fully operational.

For those interested in winter sports or experiencing the dramatic snow-covered landscapes, late winter and early spring, specifically February to April, can also be a good time to visit. While colder, with temperatures often below freezing, this period offers opportunities for skiing and snowshoeing, and the crisp, clear air can provide stunning views.
