This is a hidden gem where you feel like you’re staying in a castle :) Also it’s a 10 minute walk to the Herculean Ruins, which although smaller than Pompeii, are more easily accessible for exploring. Great, friendly staff!!

We went to visit the Ercolano so stayed for just one night. The villa was beautiful on the inside and our room was charming. Terese and Luca were amazing! They communicated with us ahead of our arrival and brought a delicious breakfast to our room! Great place for our visit to the historic site. We also had a great pizza dinner at Ravi since the restaurant with Villa Durante could not accommodate us. There are not many options for dinner.

Our stay was wonderful! The property is immaculately clean and absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was served to us in our room and had a wide variety of selections. The only thing I would ask them to improve is the hot water for the shower. We let it run a very long time before we got hot water, and then only had about 5 minutes of it. Otherwise, we can't say enough about this stay! Our room was HUGE and included a living room. Absolutely beautiful!

Villa Durante was a lovely stay for my two sisters and I. The villa was large and very accommodating, we had plenty of space and two bathrooms was a nice bonus! The hosts were so kind and accommodating. The daily breakfast was an absolute delight! A bit of a walk from the train station, and we struggled with the Naples area public transportation but the Villa Durante made it a memorable stay for sure!

After growing tired of cold, cookie-cutter modern hotels, we were searching for a place with genuine old-world charm and character. We found exactly that at Villa Durante. The property is absolutely beautiful, full of elegance and history, and provided a truly memorable experience. The owner and staff were warm, gracious hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are so glad we chose this wonderful hidden gem. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something special.

An amazing place, in an old building with lots of character. Teresa and Luca were really helpful, proving a great breakfast and recommending places to eat. I would definitely stay here again. Car parking is tight but ok if you have a medium or small car, and you probably wouldn’t get a large car through the entrance gate. As the listing says, there are steps (four small flights) from the courtyard to the Villa entrance door so please take that into consideration if you have mobility restrictions or difficulties.

Big rooms in a charming old Villa. Services are limited. The neighborhood is a bit loud at night, and my room got a bit too hot. There’s a small AC unit, but it might not be enough for the space. The breakfast was good a plenty for one person. They were nice, kind, and helpful.

Good location for restaurants and visiting Herculaneum in Ercolano. Short train journey to either Naples or Pompeii and small book able tour coach leaves the train station each morning to visit Vesuvius weather permitting. Very comfortable accommodation with breakfast and fully recommend for a unique Italian experience.

Lovely staff, delicious breakfast and quiet area. It is an old Italian villa, and you should expect it to have the characteristics of an old Italian villa—not a modern hotel. It was a unique experience that felt like we were in the heart of Italy.
