This was a chain hotel (APA) which felt like a little bit of luxury for a budget price. The rooms are not large, but well designed with everything you need, very comfortable bed, and some nice ‘freebies. Oh, and the spa, which was lovely and is free to guests. I used the in-room aromatherapy massage service as well, which was excellent, reasonably priced and not at all ‘seedy’Very close to the main station, for Shinkansen and local trains and subway. The usual Japanese range of local, 24 hour convenience stores nearby. And an Irish pub attached to the hotel which serves draught Guinness! There is a typical Japanese underground shopping centre labyrinth attached to the station, which is best avoided when trying to navigate to the hotel. Much better to go to O’Sullivan to do your holiday shopping!
