Overall, the property was very good. We really enjoyed the pool and appreciated the spaciousness of the room. The only downside was that housekeeping did not automatically clean the room each day, and we had to request service instead.

Room looked over the beach seen fireworks Walked out to the roof top pool which my grandson loved! Received vouchers for breakfast which was a full breakfast not just bagels and cereals although I would have eaten much earlier got up early to walk the beach everyday and enjoyed every minute so calming and relaxing The outdoor grounds were kept up so beautiful I love the array of flowers

The beach view was nice and the free breakfast was good but the hot tub and lazy river were closed the entire trip and pools looked very dirty and the hotel room Murphy bed has a weird smell and the sofa is a blue color but it had a brownish bluish color bc of how dirty it was

Parking was a little iffy with a very steep decline out of the parking garage. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Ladies fixing breakfast were the best and food was delicious. Great location. Loved having two balconies with the angle view room.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. All staff members were friendly. The beds were very comfortable, rooms clean also the grits, eggs and cheese was delicious. The meal would have been completed with some beef or turkey based meat.

The amenities were fine, but the room has a humid smell which is hard to breath. The sheets and pillows cases have some stains. The staff were great and very helpful. I will definitely bring my own sheets and air refresher

The room we were assigned 823 could you se a remodel. Tub replaced, walls needed to scraped, cleaned and repainted, looked like mold on the bedroom wall by the air conditioner. Base of the wall behind the commode was separated. Oil and replace door to balcony…it was rusty, loud and heavy. The the room itself looks dated. Breakfast not as listed in the website, what was there was: Grits, eggs, sausage, pancakes, cold cereal, fruit cups, juice. It did have two working pools during our stay, all elevators were working. Parking onsite. Front desk staff on personal phones when we arrived on two occasions and finished their texts before addressing us.

The Lazy River was swift and fun. An outdoor hot tub was repaired while we were there. Loved that a hot tub, pool and lazy river were under cover. Lazy river area - staff need to look at the center hot tub and pick up small pieces of trash. Same w our bathroom and the paper piece wasn’t from us. Dishes needed at least 4 of each and NO sharp knife or any knives or measuring cups were in the unit. Toilet had it’s moments and didn’t always want to flush or fill We forgot to mention this. Basically we just made sure the tank filled w water and we were ok. Towels were replaced daily and loved that they provided beach towels which was a plus. Monterey Bay ought to consider making the last 1-2 hrs of pool time adults only. After 9-9:30pm shrieking in a partially enclosed area is deafening and disrupting and definitely not relaxing.

This is an older hotel. The room had obviously been upgraded with new floors, walls painted etc. so it was not an unpleasant suite. But bathroom is very small by current standards for 2 people. We used our balcony and enjoyed the view. We did not eat breakfast. Staff were outstanding. We did have a drink by the pool. The “pool shack” bar is fairly run down but was popular and the drinks we had were good. All the different pools were obviously popular tho we did not use them. Bed was very clean and fairly comfortable although not new. All in all, an older hotel doing its best to stay updated.
