Musée El Castillo

The listing on expedia is incorrect. It says there are free shuttles to the airport on a schedule. There are no free shuttles they have to call for transportation. It did not cost much but that should be corrected. Also better signage when you arrive . I got there in the dark and had trouble figuring out where reception was. The breakfast was delicious best one i had in three weeks in Colombia! Room was lovely but the shower floor could be dangerous as it’s slippery when wet. A bathmat would help!

Séjour fantastique ! La chambre au 16 ère étage était grande, propre, bien insonorisée, le lit confortable et la vue sur Medellín magnifique !!! Petit déjeuner varié et produits de qualité. Le personnel était gentil et attentionné. L’hôtel est relié à un grand centre commercial avec une multitude de magasins de grandes chaînes et aussi de magasins luxe. On y trouve aussi un cinéma, une aire de jeux pour les enfants de quoi faire plaisir à tous ! Je recommande vivement cet établissement !! Il est aussi relié à une clinique de chirurgie esthétique très reconnue.

My stay was amazing but for two things. The staff was great. Reception didn't speak English, but my Spanish and their patience worked. The wait staff in the restaurant was friendly in a way that felt genuine and authentic. I am bad with names so I felt well received and cared for by an olive complexioned man at reception with jet black hair. The tallest male server... and Andrea (who's name I do remember) on the waitstaff were stand outs. 1) The construction of the building allows for sound to bounce around when people are waiting on the elevator and chatting. I would have been better served on a higher floor than being on the same floor as the lobby. I was privy to the conversations had there. 2) I must tell you that the room is very modern. There is square basin with a raised stone deck. Curious as to how it was situated, I lifted the deck to find mold. I immediately asked the manager to have it cleaned while I was out for the day. He was very responsive and also had housekeeping tidy the bed--which I didn't need them to do. It was nice that they did. There were no chemical odors when I returned. Otherwise, the room was impressive. The A/C was well placed, the layout was just like the photo online. They attend to all of your senses with adjustable lighting, a light scent humidifier near the beds, and the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, felt well attended, enjoyed the whimsy of "los patos." I'd stay again.
