While the poet wasn’t originally from Ravenna, it was here that he spent his final days in exile. The museum, opened in 1921, was made possible by the efforts of the architect Amborgio Annoni and Carrado Ricci, an authority on the life of Dante. Hotel is situated next to a medieval castle which added to the overall positive experience. The only downside was a bunch of stink bugs in our room on the curtains and window frame. They don’t bite to our knowledge but my wife woke up with a few bites. Looked like bedbugs from the web search but not sure.
