My two friends and I stayed here for a little scrapbooking get away for the weekend. We could not have asked for a more perfect spot. The home was beautiful and clean and well stocked with anything that we could possibly need. It was just steps away from downtown Murphy’s or we could get coffee in the mornings or dinner in the evenings. It’s a gorgeous location and a beautiful little town in the foothills of the Yosemite mountains. Charrisa was very accommodating, and checked in on us a couple of times throughout our stay to make sure that everything was as we needed it. We have no complaints whatsoever! It is far enough away from the downtown and highway that when sitting on the deck, you enjoy the chatter of the birds in the trees. The beds are comfortable, and after a long hike in the woods, the Jacuzzi tub feels great. The grocery store is about an 8 minute walk, and another 8 minutes to the Murphys Hotel at the heart of Main Street. The kitchen is adequately supplied for basic meal preparation. We visited San Andreas and Angels Camp, and Murphys seems to have the liveliest Main Street with lots of places to eat and taste wine. We liked lunch at Grounds. The Sequoia redwoods at Calaveras Big Trees State Park are spectacular. We were lucky to have this and another day hike before a prescribed burn turned the air smokey. Communication with the host was good. I would be happy to stay here again. ##### Joan C.
