Wonderful get away in Gold Country

We loved our visit to Murphy’s. This rental is lovely and has so many amenities for kids and dogs (we didn’t bring our pup this visit).The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds. We will look to stay here next time we visit Murphys

Great location. Layout with the game room for the kids downstairs was nice. Front deck and back yard provide great areas to relax. Too hot for the jacuzzi this trip.

Excellent place to stay in a great location

We truly enjoyed our time at this house. There is lots to do in the area, the house was spacious and had many amenities, and the hosts were responsive and kind whenever we reached out to them. Highly recommend.

Wedding weekend

We came up for a family wedding. The house was perfect for what we needed. The layout is nice and open. The area is beautiful and quiet, all of the neighbors waved as they walked/drove by. Great property, will use it again for future trips.

NYE stay

The property had all the amenities we needed for our stay! It was a perfect spot for our New Year’s Eve overnight after wine tasting in downtown Murphy’s! Loved the game room downstairs. We will definitely be coming back for a longer vacation!

Perfect Christmas Stay

We really loved that the house had a Chrismas tree and outdoor and indoor holiday decor. It really made the place that much more like home. The house was very well stocked and clean. Check in and check out was super easy. We had a lovely time and would love to come another time to explore the area more.

We had such a great time at this wonderful house! It has everything you need, right where it should be. The jetted hot tub was essential after playing in the snow. The pup loved the backyard and wildlife. The kitchen had everything including k cups/tea and the beds were super comfy. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great house!

We really enjoyed the house during our rainy weekend. It's cozy, but with plenty of space. The hot tub is great- just be sure to turn it up well in advance of when you want to use it (like the night before). Very friendly host. Great property, especially for the price!

Family Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. Enjoyed time in Murphys shopping, wine tasting, and had a great dinner at the Murphys Hotel. Close enough to visit Bear Valley and took beautiful walks. Appreciated the Christmas tree and lights. It was quiet and the kitchen was well stocked. Very enjoyable

Host was very quick to respond with answers to our inquiries, provided 99.9% of everything we needed to make our stay convenient and accommodating, layout of home worked out perfect for our family and the game room was a huge hit for our grandsons! First time in five years of renting a home away from home, would we consider returning to the same one again. This one was perfect for our Thanksgiving getaway! Hot tub is calling our names since we were so busy we didn’t get a chance to use it this time. So happy to have finally found a place we want to stay at again next year! Thank you for all the little things that added to our memorable family holiday. We enjoyed all the signs on the walls…laughed at several of them!

Charming with all the conveniences

Sathya was a wonderful host! She replied promptly when I had questions and provided a lovely and comfortable home obviously prepared by a detail-oriented person. There’s full laundry and an awesome game room at ground level, and everything else on the second floor. There’s a Keurig with k-cups for morning brew, a thoughtful selection of snacks, tv with streaming services, and even body lotion in the bathrooms for when you step out of the shower and realize you forgot some essential toiletries! The front deck is very cool, the backyard is lovely, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! I will definitely be returning!

We had a great visit! The location of the house in the trees, away from the highway, off a country road through wineries and vineyards, made for a perfect start to our weekend. The weather was hot, so sitting on the deck in the cool early morning with coffee, listening to the birds was so relaxing. Evening dinners on the deck with a local wine was very nice. The air conditioning was a great relief. Access to Main Street in Murphy's was just about 5 minutes away. Such a fun place. The kitchen had a nice stock of condiments and some spices but could've used more cooking utensils and serving bowls. The coffee maker is a Keurig, so we could only use the pods provided. We're kind of fussy about our coffee and wished that there'd been an alternative automatic coffee maker. The living room was very comfortable and access to streaming was easy. We'd hoping to visit again.

Some issues, but the owner worked to resolve

The home is charming and well-equipped. We encountered a problem: the air conditioning didn't work - we contacted the owner, and he worked diligently to get a technician to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, it took almost 24 hours to get someone onsite to fix the problem. The area is pleasant, quiet, and safe. Based on our experience, visitors to the area should be prepared for power outages of unknown duration - affecting restaurants in the area and electrical services in the home. There's nothing wrong with the home and supplies, but our experience was colored by being ill all weekend and missing out entirely on the frog jump activities.
