Welcome to the "Mountain Cabin Getaway!" with only a 2-day minimum. 10% DISCOUNT for weekly bookings, also. Dogs welcome of any size! It is a cabin with 2 master suites and 2 full baths, one on each side and a large living room with adjoining kitchen and dining room in the center of the house with a gas fireplace and a bar. High-speed fiber optic internet! 3 TV's - 1 in each bedroom and in the living room. Dedicated work desk for working from "home." You can use your cell phone through the WiFi by just changing your phone settings to make and receive calls through the WiFi, which works like a charm for us if your carrier isn't as good in the mountains. Murphy is a wonderful mountain town nestled between Blue Ridge, Blairsville and Helen, GA which are all within 30 minutes to an hour away. You can even do Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, TN for a day trip and we are less than 20 minutes from where the Tennessee and Georgia state lines meet at the quaint shopping and dining village on the Toccoa River where you can cross from Copperhill, TN into McCayesville, GA within a few steps on Bridge St. We are also within 20 minutes of Harrah's Valley River Casino, and too many Appalachian hiking trails and rafting locations to list. There are many lakes surrounding the area and nature abounds with deer coming out to graze in the grass and say welcome to Murphy! After a fun day you can sit around the fire pit and enjoy a bottle of complimentary wine from our bar. Please limit it to only ONE bottle, so future guests can also enjoy a bottle as well. Please be respectful of our request. High speed fiber optic just hooked up! We don't allow cats and there is a maximum of two dogs that are NOT allowed on the furniture or beds or there will be a charge placed against your insurance policy due to added cleaning time. Because of insurance restrictions, the following dogs are not allowed: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Husky (including Siberian breeds), Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, or any Wolf-dog hybrid. We provide poopy bags and there are dog dishes in the laundry area. Please clean up after your pet and use a leash in the neighborhood since some of the owners also have dogs as well. Also, this is a quiet mountain neighborhood, so if you have dogs that bark a lot, this is not the cabin for you since there are others who live and/or rent in this neighborhood who come here to enjoy the peace and tranquility of sitting on their porch and not have barking dogs disrupt their quiet time. If you have dogs that bark a lot, please choose another rental as I am sure you would also like to be able to sit on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet yourselves. Dogs should not be left unattended on the porch to bark all day while you are out and about. The neighbors will complain. Thank you for understanding and being respectful of others. Also, do not leave them inside unattended for an extended period of time. Please bring a crate if the dog is a puppy or chews on things. Any damage will be charged against your insurance policy, which is required to rent the cabin. This cabin was clean and comfortable and conveniently located close to my family and town. It was supplied with enough paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and even shampoo for our stay. The only negatives were parking and pet friendliness. It was my husband, myself, our adult son and two small dogs. One parking spot was fine, but the second was gravel on an incline. Our tires would spin if we tried to backup, which wasn’t ideal. Perhaps they will pave this in the future. The only other issue was no pets on the furniture. We have lap dogs and they looked so sad the entire time we were there because we weren’t holding them, which they are accustomed to. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. A great place to stay if you only need parking for one vehicle and don’t allow pets on your furniture at home. ##### Tami V. The cabin was very clean and accommodating, plus the porch was a nice place to relax. Close enough to town yet far enough to see pretty scenery and some wild life. ##### Blair D. It was so nice to have paper products, toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, creamer and some kitchen supplies already provided for us! High speed fiber optic internet and Dish Network on all 3 TVs and a DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs was much appreciated. We were so close to Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Helen, McCayesville, and Copperhill, TN that we were able to visit them all. We also made a quick visit to Harrah's Casino, which is right in Murphy. They have a bowling alley inside and a huge sports bar, if gambling isn't for you. The owners were wonderful to deal with and even provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine! They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their home and we can't wait to visit again soon. Next time, we hope to try the white water rafting which is also very close by, in addition to many hiking trails. This lovely mountain cabin really is the perfect location for so many activities, we are already planning our next stay! ##### Staci D. Great hiking. Spent a lot of time up the mountain and through the woods. House is very nice with full kitchen and great gas stove to use. Outside on porch was such a good time with my family. Even had a barbecue ready to go. Close to great small towns, Murphy and Blairsville. Great restaurants. Less than 2 hrs to Chattanooga and Ruby Falls. It had plenty of room and everything we needed while we were there. Thoughtful additions like a clothes basket for the laundry and the fire wood laid in the fire pit were appreciated. It is new, is stocked with everything needed in the kitchen, a nice porch with a gas grill, comfortable beds, beautiful decor, great wi-fi. The cabin is in a good location - about 25 minutes to either Murphy or Blue Ridge in different directions. We are giving it only 4 stars due to the steep gravel road (yes, I know there are pics of the road but the gravel goes on for about 1/4 mile and hard to judge elevation changes from pictures). We have stayed in many Murphy cabins over the years so we have a lot of experience with gravel roads. Also we did not have cell service in this cabin. (totally understandable this far out of town, but my husband was working remotely from the cabin so I will mention it for other users of AT&T). ##### Eileen H. It was clean and decorated just as seen on the vrbo site however the beds were like sleeping on a piece of plywood... very firm! Also bring a hairdryer. There wasn't one...??? A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a need. The road is gravel and house is up the hill and it's very narrow road. No where really for us to walk our dogs.
