"Our room in this older hotel was clean, and the king bed was very comfortable. When we checked in, we found that the type of room that we were getting, was not what we thought we were booking through Expedia. The clerk was so helpful, calling the manager to get it straightened out. We really appreciated their help. All the staff were great. We were disappointed in the breakfast, and wished for an exercise room. But they did have a nice outdoor pool and safe parking."

"This facility is a little dated, but it was good and clean. Staff were nice. We stayed 2 nights, first day breakfast was not good. The egg was watery, but next day it was okay. They need to add boiled eggs to breakfast everyday so someone can have choice."

"Quaint, historic, restored hotel—absolutely lovely! The owners were very friendly and helpful—we enjoyed visiting with them. The room was clean and the A/C had been turned on prior to our arrival. We were shown to our room and refrigerator turned on for us. The room decor was very tasteful and in keeping with the time period/era. We would stay here again. Two drawbacks for us were no elevator and not full breakfast. Overall very happy!"

"Room was clean, hot shower, and a large TV and refrigerator. It was very close to Fort Scott. We had pulled in with a boat and they made it work , but they do have a small parking lot. It was quiet and cost less!"

"Very nice, quiet getaway. Things were just as described in the listing. Well equipped kitchen, nice beds, and good WiFi/entertainment options. We brought our dog and he enjoyed playing with the neighbor dogs which were very friendly."
