"Note: it is far from the beach. You will need a taxi to take you to and from the beach. Which is around $20 round trip. All the restaurants and stores are at the beach. The room is comfortable. Nice shower, cozy bed. AC. No bugs or dirt. "

"Solo female traveler here. Let me just start by saying if you want to do more fun hostel partying, stay near the little volcano. If you’re here to chill and take it easy. Stay around big volcano. Unless you have a moto or car. The area around has everything you need. Restaurants both touristy and local, groceries, cafes, tour guides, etc. I felt safe and entertained but most of the activities I had to use a moto (or find a guy who had a moto haha) The room itself was very nice. No bugs or dirt. A good AC (if you hear weird noises at night, it’s most likely AC or birds on top) nice shower. The staff was helpful, all of them were very nice. The tipico food was very good. Those ladies are wonderful cooks :) I’d stay here again if I wanted a relaxing island vibe. "
