When is the best time to go to Mount Helena?

The best time to visit Mount Helena is during the spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) months. During these periods, the weather is pleasantly mild, with clear skies and comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the natural surroundings. Spring brings a burst of wildflowers to the region, adding to the scenic beauty, while autumn offers cooler, crisp air superb for longer walks. Couples often find these seasons particularly appealing for a relaxing getaway. The pleasant weather allows for leisurely strolls through the John Forrest National Park, enjoying picnics amidst the natural bushland, or visiting local wineries without the intense heat of summer. For those planning to explore the hiking trails, especially the sections of the Bibbulmun Track that run nearby, spring and autumn provide the best conditions.

Flag Motor Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Fabulous room, lovely helpful staff when we arrived. Just need a little bigger or longer curtain to block out the light, otherwise very happy. Also restaurant was excellent 👍👍"
