"ABSOLUTELY A FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY AND A WONDERFUL HOST!!! Me and my family of 4 shoot competition 3D archery and we had a up coming shoot in the area. When I came across this listing I was intrigued to book it just for the night before the competition. The host was absolutely amazing and the communication was amazing. Checking in was simple and easy no fuss no muss. When we arrived at the cabin we were blown away by how beautiful it was and how clean everything was. My daughters were able to get settled in very quickly and was in the bed before I knew it. If you’ve traveled with a 14 and 11 year old’s you know how excited they can get when staying at different places and not wanting to go to sleep. But my girls told me before they went to bed that it felt like HOME!! The next morning we had to get up early and leave out for our competition. Check out was as simple and easy as check in was. At breakfast we all talked about how wonderful the cabin was and how we were all able to get great sleep. Especially my girls were telling me on how great they slept and that they were ready for the competition and ready they were. My oldest took 2nd in her class only missing out on 1st by 1 point. The youngest took 1st in her class, my wife took 1st in her class, and I took 1st in my class. This wouldn’t have been possible without a peaceful, comfortable, and clean place to sleep. We will DEFINITELY COME BACK!!! Hopefully it will be when can stay longer."

"We stayed at this cabin on the creek for a few days while in town for a family reunion. The property and amenities were extremely nice—exactly as shown and described. The host was extremely helpful with messages ahead check-in and check-out, as well as other tips on what to do/see in the area. The cabin is charming, clean and super comfortable. The large open kitchen and great room were perfect for everyone to gather, the back porch was sooo relaxing and the fishers in our crew really enjoyed the convenience of walking out to the creek each morning. Our only disappointment was not having more downtime to enjoy the place for a few more hours each day. Since we have family the area, we plan to book again and I would recommended this little gem to anyone visiting Hayesville, Hiawassee or Lake Chatuge. Zero regrets!"

"We had a great time! The cottage was well away from traffic and noise. The sound of the river right outside was perfect for relaxing with a glass of good wine.We were shocked at the supplies, spices, first-aid kit , flashlights etc. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of kitchenware.One thing I cannot comment on is the TV….we never turned it on!Our host Corann was super helpful and easy to contact.Can’t wait to come back!M&J"

"House was fantastic for our month long stay away from Florida heat. Isolated and quiet yet minutes from lovely Hayesville. House was on the river and we loved every minute. Screened porch was our “go to” place for AM coffee, reading, relaxing, and afternoon wine. House stocked extremely well(kitchen, towels, etc.). We loved Hayesville and Hiawassee. My sister and I also fly fished Fires Creek, Mission Dam, Tusqiutee Creek & Nantahala River. Tough summer fishing but it is “fishing “. If I could give more stars than 5 for Wood Haven I would. Theresa was wonderful and very responsive. One of the best VRBO’s I’ve experienced."

"Property had everything we needed. The furniture was comfortable (including the beds), everything was well stocked and the porch with all the rocking chairs was the best. Very well cared for property in the middle of nature but close enough to dining and shopping. Lake was wonderful with lots to do."

"Our family of 12, plus 3 fur babies, was overwhelmed by this magnificent house. The amenities were overflowing and everywhere we looked, there were more surprises. Smores, wine, toys, kayaks, tons of snacky treats (for the humans and the pups), and this is just a short list! The lakefront view was breathtaking, and it was so peaceful sitting on the dock and the covered porches. The kids, ages 11, 10, 9, 8 and 4 were in a constant state of having fun. We truly were very sad leaving such a fantastic property that we called home for five nights. We will be back!"

"This is an amazing vacation home! The natural scenic aesthetics here are simply breathtaking! The house itself is very accommodating for all types of families. Personally, my family’s favorite spot to hang out and play games was upstairs porch/deck. It’s screened in (which keeps the majority of the bugs away) & the view is so beautiful. The hospitality is unbelievable! The little bear rental management people I spoke to (Robynn & Joy) are both so helpful, kind, understanding and genuinely great people! However, the icing on the cake was the neighbors we met Turner and Georgia and there are two lovely boxer pups their younger pup, Scout came and greeted us on our first morning there she was super cute and loving, and quite the charmer! Their whole family was so kind and friendly. Their demeanor made us feel like we were part of the family visiting from out of town. This is a family vacation experience my family, and I will never forget. I would definitely come back and most definitely recommend this vacation home to anyone!"

"The home was extremely well maintained and extremely clean. Every room was put together nicely and required. No additional effort upon moving in Heather and MIKE were extremely helpful as hosts and helped us when we needed to extend our stay by one day. The kitchen is magnificent, and the island is large enough to accommodate many people. There are flatscreen televisions everywhere, upstairs and downstairs and even games downstairs as well as three fireplaces. The location is excellent and makes it easy to get around Hayesville. We would definitely book this home again and in fact already have for a return trip. On several mornings when we looked out the kitchen window, it was fascinating to watch the local deer right in the front yard, feeding on the leaves. Thank you, Heather and MIKE for being such great hosts. You absolutely couldn't ask for a nicer home in a nicer location with nicer owners. Thanks again from edee and Marc."
