  • Aww, the beauty of Lake Rathbun. Come enjoy this beautifully decorated 1280 sq foot open floor plan rental with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath. Travel light, just bring your food, clothes, and drinks and everything else is provided. Located 3 minutes from the Lake. It has a Master bedroom with a KING SIZE BED and Master Bath, a Queen Size Bed, a Full Size bed, with the 2nd bathroom dividing them, and a hide a bed in the Living Room. Sleeps 8. With an amazing open kitchen, you'll love the kitchen island, that is fully stocked for any meal prep you want to do. With a 12 x 16 outside deck, right off the kitchen, that includes a 3 burner gas Weber Grill (spare tank located in the shed), an Amazing Wicker Patio Set, and a picnic table to make your stay even more relaxing. You will love the spacious yard with a firepit (FREE FIREWOOD), a shed fully stocked with a fish cleaning table, kindling, smores sticks, and yard games. With so much to do at the Lake, or to do nothing but Relax this is the PERFECT PLACE for you and your guests. "You're Home Away from Home".

Perfect for a nice get away

Randy was more than accommodating for our group, the house was perfect for us, free firewood, snacks, wine, and ice for us! I would absolutely stay here again.

You’ll never find a better place to stay with your family in the Midwest. Randy is so accommodating and my kids love his place. Can’t wait to come back next summer!

Randy's Rathbun Rental #2 is a great place to stay at Lake Rathbun. It was clean, nice, and he provided everything needed for the stay. Randy was very nice and informative of the area. I would highly recommend this place.

This place was very clean, and had a big enough driveway for a boat/truck and extra parking space! Randy was an awesome host, always informational and had very good hospitality, would definitely recommend this place!

RRR is perfect for us! Second stay and did not disappoint again! Outdoor space is perfect for any age and kitchen area allows for lots of people helping with meals. Quiet neighborhood and boat ramps are just a few miles.....

Repeat stay

This is our second stay at this location. Visiting family and Lake Rathbun. Close to the lake, quiet evenings to unwind and relax. We hope to be back again next year. The space is just what we needed to have dinner with family, catch up and enjoy the outdoors. Recommend this place if you want to be close to the lake, and enjoy peace and quiet when not on the lake.

Great place!

We were pleased with this home. They covered all the little things that sometimes are lacking in vacation rentals. The beds and pillows were comfortable, plenty of towels in the bathrooms and kitchen, nice kleenex and toilet paper, garbage cans in all bedrooms, free snacks, ice, and koozies, and night stands by each bed. The owner was more than welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. We would stay here again and highly recommend Randy's Rental.

If you're planning on staying in the Rathbun area for any type of activity i highly recommend staying with Randy. He is a first class host and you can tell he truly cares about your stay and making sure you have everything you need. Very easy to get a hold of and when he tells you he has everything you need and not to bring, he means it!

Outstanding property

Everything we needed was there. Randy checked in with us a couple times. The place was impeccably clean. All you need are your clothes and main entrees, oh, and stuff to make s’mores. We’ll, maybe an adult beverage or two. The relaxation is there waiting for you. You will create wonderful memories during your stay.

Clean and cozy.

I had planned the weekend of Pancake day, but my mother fell ill and passed. I was in a motel for 4 days. I asked if the vrbo was available. Thank God it was. Home is clean and cozy with plenty of room. Host is very gracious and met all of our requests. There are snacks and nicely stocked kitchen, with spices, condiments, coffee and more. I will stay here again and highly recommend this place.

House is nice and Randy is awsome

We had the house for 2 weeks the first of November. On our first full day we meet randy the owner and he was a great host. We where there for deer hunting on public land and when me tagged our bucks he let us use his shop and tools to clean our deer and then he even cleaned them for us. We ended up hanging out with randy almost every night for the whole 2 weeks. He's a super nice guy. They house was just right it was super clean and hade everything we needed. Plus alot of stuff we didn't use that would be great for a stay during the summer time. When we get lucky and draw Iowa deer tags again we will definitely be giving randy a call and stay with him I highly recommend you stay with randy if you are going to lake Rathbun.

Home Away From Home

We walked in and felt right at home. It was comfortable, quiet and perfect for our family. Having a yard for our little one to play in was especially great. Randy provided a variety of snacks and everything else you would need to enjoy some time at the lake. Beautiful location and we'd love to stay again!

Meet in the Middle

If you love southern Iowa this property is for you! We came from three states. Minutes to ramps and marina. Plenty of room for 2 children and 5 adults. Everything needed was available. Great outdoor space was shaded most of the day. Paved street and driveway were appreciated for pontoon! Property owner answered all questions we had before arrival. We will be returning guests! Everything was A+

I can't say enough about Randy's Rental. He makes everything turnkey and easy. Good communication before and during our stay, it's clear a lot of thought was put into the little things that make for a great stay. We were having a family reunion with approx 25 and used Randy's as our home base. Nice big , shady yard for games , our grandkids loved the hammock and when it got really hot it was nice to cool off inside with good AC. One of the best rentals we've experienced I would highly recommend Randy's place.
