"Overall, wonderful lodge. Relaxing. Rim trail couldn’t be closer, just a few steps away. Restaurant and tavern are delightful. Canyon view rooms are limited; select yours carefully (and there’s no microwave oven on the premises sans the restaurant’s ). Bottom line - always El Tovar when visiting the South Rim."

10/10 Excellent
"This was an absolutely gorgeous hotel and place to stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and was excellently kept. The grounds were spotless and the atrium hot tub amazing. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. My only beef was no room service but there are plenty of options on site as they have a saloon and a restaurant open until 9 pm."

"It was a great location and the room was nice and big but the kitchennette area was too small to prepare any kind of food. The breakfast was unfortunately terrible with a basic buffett but the staff were nice and polite. Good hotel but not worth the price paid. Thanks"

"Clean property with lots of amenities like swimming pool, arcade games, outdoor games, s’mores for children. You will pay resort fees. Clean and spacious room (we stayed in a premium room in block 7000 which was updated last year). Reception staff is hit or miss. The ladies were very helpful but the guy who did our check out was unhelpful to the point of rude."
