"Great location and walkability. Staff/Service: Welcoming and warm, Cheewan at reception was lovely! We had drove straight out from a morning arrival at Heathrow, my husband was not feeling well and the hotel had been fully booked the night before. They were able to rush our room for 12pm (check-in is 3pm) for £ 20 GBP. Guestroom: we booked a standard and had requested ground floor, this was met. Very clean, spacious and adequately furnished, bed was comfortable. Coffee pot/kettle in-room with accompaniments. Bathroom amenities was very lacking; only one pump dispenser of Bath gel/shampoo (combined), no conditioner. One pump dispenser on the wall by the sink of hand wash (both dispensers 1/3 full, no hand/body lotion. Plenty of towels set on towel-warmer rack and very clean bathroom. Car park: The hotel has a small lot but we did not luck out with a spot during our stay. There are 7 spots, 3 of which are for Electric Vehicles only (beware not to park in these if your car is not EV, police will issue a violation/ticket). Because we arrived on a Sunday, street parking was free and we were able to park right up front and good until 8am the next morning. There are two public parking lots nearby, the next day we parked in the Brown St. Car park around the corner. There is a machine that you can pay with a credit card or you can download the MiPermit app which worked great for me (iPhone) and used Apple pay with it. "Stayed there for 1 night with family of 4. the check in was excellent experience. but check out was horrible. i guess the lady in the front office did not have a good day she was extremely rude for asking a bottle of water on a hot day. "usually we do not give water "... really ??... apart from that the property is good. could improve on attitude of staff."

"Starting with the front desk staff it was a wonderful stay. We only stayed one night but the room was an upgrade due to some switches and it was beautiful. The old woman at the desk that night was so kind and welcoming that we made friends immediately and I would go back to that hotel anytime I was in town!"

"Such a quaint hotel, we had a good stay! The room was pretty small but worked for the one night we were there. I’d suggest adding a mini fridge to the room as it would be helpful to have. The room is really warm. We didn’t go during the heat wave but the room felt stuffy with not much ventilation which puts the rating down. What carries the hotel is the wonderful and kind staff. They were chatty and happy to help!"

"Perfect place to stay, pre-cruise! The accessible room was spot on, the height of the bed was a bit on the low side, (but a huge improvement on the ridiculously low beds that another well know hotel chain insists on using) the bathroom was well equipped and the rest of the hotel facilities were great."
