Located at the gates of Montpellier (8km), very easily accessible by streetcar at 10', between the Cevennes and the Camargue, this gite receives up to 4 persons. It is naturally air-conditioned and therefore particularly comfortable on the hottest days of the summer.   
  
Covid obliges, we do everything possible to receive you in the best conditions.   
On the sanitary level of course with new provisions for cleaning and disinfection (we explain everything below and in our welcome booklet which can be consulted and downloaded on https://notre.guide/gite.plomidi/en).

The gîte du Plomidi is the last house in the north of the village, on the edge of the countryside, in the middle of vineyards and pine trees. You can leave directly from the gîte for numerous walks or bike rides.

In the immediate vicinity you can practice canoeing on the Hérault, accrobranche (2 sites), climbing on the Taillade ridge (known throughout Europe judging by the number plates) and even paragliding from the Hortus cause which dominates the south of the plain or gliding over the mythical Pic Saint-Loup.  
  
River, lake or beaches? You will have the choice between the sandy banks of the Hérault, the sublime lake of Salagou, and of course the soft beaches of the Mediterranean, the closest of which is 20 minutes away. Of course, we provide you with beach umbrellas and towels.  
  
Do you like wine? More than 60 winegrowers (AOC Pic Saint Loup) will always be happy to let you taste their production. We will know how to guide you.

The must-sees: Saint Guilhem le Désert and the Pont du Gard listed as Unesco heritage sites, the impressive Navacelles circus, Nîmes and its arena, Arles and its Roman museum, and of course Montpellier with its Fabre Museum (one of the most beautiful collections in France), its zoo (free!), the Place de la Comédie in the heart of the pedestrian district of the Ecusson, ...  
  
Less known but not less interesting : the museum of the Camisards (Mialet), the cave of the Demoiselles (Laroque), the glass hall (Claret), the silk museum (Saint Hippolyte), the bamboo grove of Anduze, the small steam train of the Cevennes (Anduze), the Cévenol museum (Saint Jean du Gard), the path of the glassmakers, the museum of the fork (Sauve), the sea of rocks, the causse of the Hortus, the belvedere of the Mas Neuf and its surprising wind rose.

As we have always done for 20 years (already!) we will welcome you personally and take the time to answer any questions you may have. The formalities of reception are reduced: no inventory of fixtures or deposit payment. We will, of course, respect the rules of distenciation currently in use.  
The departure formalities will also be reduced to a minimum.  
  
C l e a n i n g  
Between each rental, all the surfaces of the gite are now subject to a double treatment: cleaning and disinfection with a virucide product.  
Particular attention is paid to the treatment of the most frequently used surfaces: keys, door handles, switches, remote controls, hair dryers, ironing boards and irons, stair railings, cabinet and closet handles, desks, toilets, sinks and washbasins, tables, bedside tables, household appliances, faucet handles, baby equipment, kitchen countertops and other bathroom surfaces.  
  
P r o d u c t s   
The disinfection of the surfaces is done with professional products in accordance with the EN14476 standard.  
You will find hydroalcoholic gel and cleaning products that meet the same standard EN14476.  
  
L i n e n  
The linen provided (kitchen linen, towels, pool towels, fitted sheet, comforter cover, pillow cases and pillow protectors) is entrusted to a professional laundry to be washed at high temperature (60° minimum).  
This linen, delivered by the laundry under protective film, is put in place just before your arrival so that you can have your rooms completely prepared when you enter the premises. However, if you prefer to make the beds yourself, just let us know 24 hours before.

#### Superbe découverte du pays Héraultais

Très agréable gîte spacieux,au calme et bien placé pour la découverte des alentours de Montpellier, tant pour les balades dans l'intérieur des terres que pour les sites en bord de mer. Merci à Patrick et Yvonne pour leur accueil chaleureux et leurs bons conseils

#### Superbe maison, idéalement située

Habitués à louer des gites, nous n'en avons jamais trouvé d'aussi grand et confortable. Décoré avec goût, il ne manque rien dans l'équipement. Même le parasol et les serviettes de plage sont fournis. Yvonne et Patrick sont très chaleureux et toujours disponibles. Ils nous ont permis de découvrir des endroits surprenants et pleins de charme. Les bords de l'Hérault au pont de Saint Etienne ! Nous recommandons vivement ce havre de paix.

Our hosts, Patrick and Yvonne, were delightful and so helpful with recommendations about the area—wineries, restaurants, things to see. With excellent English, it was easy to communicate.Although extremely hot the week we were there, the apt was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had a good-sized refrigerator. The apt and yard were very private and quiet. Although the place has not been updated, it was comfortable.

#### Paradijsje

Een heerlijk verblijf in het huis van Patrick en Yvonne. Ze hebben ons goed verwelkomd en wisten ons nuttige tips te geven. De keuken is wat verouderd maar geeft zeker geen beperkingen. Het huis is koel, eventueel kan de airco ook aan. Dat was niet altijd nodig ofschoon we er midden in de hete weken waren. De badkamer is zeer comfortabel, een heerlijke doche! Het terras nodigt uit voor heerlijke ontbijtjes en lekkere diners en een wijntje en een kaasje achteraf. We hebben uitgebreid de sterren kunnen bekijken.

#### Eine Woche Erholung pur!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt rundum genossen, auch dank der vielen Tipps von Yvonne und Patrick. Die Wohnung ist groß und sehr gut ausgestattet, der Garten bietet auch bei hohen Temperaturen Schattenplätze und die Umgebung bietet viele sehr schöne Ausflugsziele. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in sehr schöner Lage. Hochwertige Möbel, geräumig viel Platz, gut ausgestattete Küche. Großer Garten. Großartiger Bäcker in der Nähe (3 Minuten mit dem Rad den Berg hinunter, knappe 15 Minuten hinauf).

Hemos pasado una temporada excepcional. Patrick e Yvonne, muy hospitalarios, nos han tratado fenomenal y han ayudado a que nuestra experiemcia haya sido perfecta. Un lugar ideal para relajarse, disfrutar del campo, de los viñedos y hacer excursiones a pueblos y ciudades preciosas. Súper recomendable.

#### Genuss pur!

Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Wochen im Haus von Yvonne und Patrick verbracht. Obwohl das Wetter sehr heiss war, bot die Wohnung immer eine kühle Rückzugsmöglichkeit. Vom Sitzplatz aus genossen wir den idyllischen Ausblick auf den grossen Garten mit einem vielfältigen und schönen Baumbestand. Die Vermieter waren aufmerksame, unaufdringliche und sympathische Gastgeber. die uns auch mit guten Tipps für die Erkundung der Umgebung geholfen haben. Direkt vor dem Haus beginnen idyllische Spazierwege, die wir jetzt schon vermissen, Auch waren wir fast täglich am Meer, welches innert 30 Autominuten erreichbar ist.

#### Top Gastgeber - wir lieben es!

Die Gite ist absolut ideal und sehr ruhig am Rand der kleinen Ortschaft an einem Kiefernwäldchen gelegen. Spaziergänge, Wanderungen oder auch Radtouren (Räder sind Vorort) in die umliegenden wunderschönen Weinberge sind direkt vom Haus möglich. Die Infrastruktur bietet alles was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Der im Ort befindliche gut sortierte Supermarkt ist auch mit dem Rad gut zu erreichen, die Bäckerei bietet sehr feine Backwaren (unbedingt die Törtchen probieren). Auch mehrere Restaurants finden sich in relativ naher Distanz. Die Ausstattung der Gite ist ungewöhnlich umfangreich und mit viel Liebe und Detail eingerichtet. Das absolute Highlight der Gite ist der Garten und die Terrasse. Die Abendsonne auf der Terrasse lädt zu einen entspannenden Verweilen, begleitet vom Konzert der Zikaden geradezu ein. Die Bauweise des Hauses gewährleistet auch im Hochsommer sehr angenehme Innentemperaturen ohne (störende) Klimaanlage. Die Lage der Gite ist ideal für Ausflüge oder Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Das quirlige Montpellier ist mit der Tram in weniger als einer halben Stunde erreichbar. Genauso lang benötigt man mit dem Auto an das Meer, wo mehrere gut besuchte, aber auch in der Hauptsaison durchaus ruhigere Dünenstrände zum Bad einladen. Auch für Halbtages- oder Tagesausflüge in die Camargue, zu den malerischen historischen Ortschaften von Okzitanien/ Cevennen/ Languedoc ist die Lage der Gite ideal. Yvonne und Patrick sind ausgesprochen reizende und sehr diplomatische Gastgeber. Man hat beim herzlichen Empfang sofort den Eindruck als gehöre man seit langem zur Familie. Sie hören sehr genau zu und stehen, wenn man möchte, mit viel Feingefühl mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und geben sehr wertvolle Hinweise, die ein zeitraubendes „Selbsterkunden“ überflüssig machen kann. Ihre Tipps, egal ob für Restaurants, Einkauf, Ausflüge waren absolut Gold wert. Wir wären sehr gern noch länger dort geblieben, leider rief wieder die „Pflicht“. Wir werden aber auf jeden Fall wieder dort Urlaub machen.

#### Ein herrlich gelegenes, komfortables und sympathisches Domizil

Das Haus befindet sich in herrlicher Lage am Rande eines kleinen Ortes, inmitten von Pinienwäldern und Weinbergen. Dennoch sind alle notwendigen Versorgungseinrichtungen wie Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Markt und Dorf-Cafe gut erreichbar. Die Umgebung bietet ein reiches Angebot von Natur und Kultur -von der Mittelmeerküste, über die lebendige Metropole Montpellier bis zum markanten Pic St.Loup. Das Haus liegt inmitten eines großen, schönen Gartengrundstückes, das man von einer sonnigen Terrasse genießen kann. Die im vorderen Erdgeschoss gelegene, sehr geräumige Ferienwohnung ist abgeschlossen, mit separatem Eingang und Parkplatz. Die Einrichtung ist sehr komfortabel, geschmackvoll und gepflegt. Es mangelt an nichts, man fühlt sich wohl. Die Vermieter wohnen im hinteren Teil des Hauses. Sie bleiben unsichtbar oder sind präsent, je nachdem wie man es wünscht. Denn Yvonne und Patrick sind gleichzeitig sehr diskrete und herzliche, hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die über einen unerschöpflichen Vorrat an praktischen touristischen Tipps verfügen. All das hat dazu beigetragen, dass wir hier drei herrliche Urlaubswochen verbracht haben. Wir können die Ferienwohnung in jeder Hinsicht nachdrücklich empfehlen und werden selbst gern wiederkommen.
