Freddy's B&B is an excellent, family-run business that serves the absolute BEST breakfast! Freddy also provided us with some leads to places to visit and a map to get there. We had a fabulous experience and will stay there again when we return To Costa Rica.

Loved our stay with Freddy. His welcoming smile started our stay, and he made us very welcome. He helped arrange our night walk and zip line experience,which were both very solid recommendations. Room was very adequate for the price and included our best breakfast in Costa Rica.

Amazing! Felt like home

Freddy’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay in Monteverde! Freddy is so helpful and friendly and his place is just a short walk to the downtown! The breakfast is delicious and he was able to book last minute excursions for us! Such a bang for your buck!!

Freddy went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The breakfast that was included was delicious. He also gave us plenty of help planning our trip through Monteverde. There is a lot of noise from cars and motorcycles, but any hotel close to town will be the same. It was worth it for us because we were able to walk to town in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend Freddys Place to anyone staying in the Monteverde region.

Far enough from the main strip where you're away from the noise but still close enough to walk to. Run by a lovely and helpful family. The breakfast is amazing, particularly the banana pancakes. Will stay here again next time im in Monteverde

Freddys Place is a family-run bed and breakfast. It is clean, safe and walkable to town. It isn't fancy, but it is a good, simple and clean place to stay. Freddy, the owner, is so helpful and kind! The breakfasts are made to order and exceptional!

Wonderful hospitality and service - very friendly staff. Off street parking was included as was tasty breakfast! Rooms were clean + comfortable (although due to timing there was construction going on early in the day). A bit of a walk to get to restaurants and things to do. Linens were ok quality.

Eddy was the best! He was super accommodating and friendly from the second we pulled in. He made us coffee when we arrived, gave us a map, and explained the property and town to us. It had a nice personal and family feel to it. Also, the breakfast was amazing. It was a short walk to town with many options to dine and shop.

Eddys was a great place to stay and an incredible value for what they charge. Eddy and his family were so nice and the room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast they provide was amazing and the best we've had in our travels of the country! The location is really good and walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. If in Monteverde be ready to climb hills as there's not a flat road in the area. Definitely visit Stellas for great food and baking and also Bon Appétit, which is right down the road. Great food and even better staff! Overall a great place to stay!

Staff super friendly and extremely helpful in providing directions around the area. Breakfast was really good and made to order. The property is small but very functional with each room having its own outdoor sitting space. The only downside is there is no A/C and the room got hot at night because we had to close the sliding door in order to secure the room. Would have wanted a fan or a way to lock the sliding door partially open to allow airflow. Overall, a great location in the Monteverde area. For the price, I definitely recommend.

It was small, simple family owned B&B. It is walking distance to downtown and the Wildlife refuge. The breakfast was excellent and they even brought it the room when I was feeling ill. They give great advice as to where to catch free shuttles to museums. They have the cheapest laundry service in the village. What the place lacks in areas (no closets, no hairdryer), they sure do make up for it friendliness and service. Note: they make continuous updates to make things more convenient and they love suggestions.

Property was nothing like it was shown on Expedia during reservations. There was construction going and room was nothing like shown in pics. Highly disappointed. I would verify everything before making reservation should you choose to stay here.

I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed my stay(s). I actually spent one night there and then the next night out in the forest and then was back there again on the third night. Freddy was extremely hospitable and service oriented. He even allowed me to keep my bag in the room and allowed me to hang on to the key during that middle night when I was not there. He helped me get oriented to the area, made recommendations and really made excellent breakfasts. I definitely recommend his breakfast sandwich and his banana pancakes. The room was clean and modern and had everything I needed. I was very pleased with the accommodations and thought it was a nice place to stay and a good value and I certainly enjoyed the hospitality that Freddy provided.
