I wanted a motel between the two locations. The owners were very helpful, giving me directions to a breakfast spot on my route in the morning that was terrific. The decor is kitschy/vintage /old school motel but clean and comfortable. They provide an in-room coffee maker and the coffee was quite good. There is also in-room microwave and fridge, which is convenient. Rooms are clean, with flat screen tv and limited cable tv channels. Dogs are allowed, and their is boat parking. While the motel is the older single story version we all knew from the 60's, it has been well maintained. While the beds are a little firmer than I like, I still got 3 nights of good sleep.
