Bis zum Strand läuft man gemütlich etwa 15 Minuten, und auch die Straße mit zahlreichen Restaurants und...

"If you are booking last minute for Lake Ohrid and you need a room with a bed and a bathroom at a reasonable price, this is a place for that, but not much more. It's about 5 minutes downhill to the nearest beach and to town. Uphill is a climb and doable for the able bodied, but not recommend for those with mobility issues. The owner will kindly offer pick up at the bus station; take him up on it as you won't find this place on your own. Lake Ohrid in general is lively and has a great vibe, don't...

Villa Maki

8/10 Good

"Everything about the property was good. The location wasn't optimal but not terrible either."

Villa Varosh

10/10 Excellent

"The property is very well maintained, it’s a pleasant weekend stay, it’s located in the old city which is close to shops, cafe, and all what you need. Also walking distance to the lake. If you are driving just be careful in the narrow roads, follow the management message and be prepared to check in to access all helpful information."

Villa Old Town

8/10 Good

"The property is central to the old walled city. Please be aware the host does not provide soap, shampoo, hair dryer nor coffee sugar nor tea. Really just expect a bed hot water and a shower. If you have this knowledge and agree than you should be fine with this accommodation. I felt the property was a little pricey but the area does comand premium prices and you can obviously find greater comfort if you had the budget for it. I think you could do this area comfortably in 3 days comfortably....parking is another story.. we parked in a lot and we were charged 35 euros from 3 pm - 6:30 am the next morning."

Villa PUPIN Gorna Porta

10/10 Excellent

"Our two night stay was great with an amazing parking space right in front. There was a great little grocery about a block away that was very handy. Only little disappointment was we never saw anyone from the property after initial checkin so no one to ask questions or advice. I believe they have two locations in town so that may be the reason."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Misleshevo?

The best area to stay in Misleshevo is typically near the central part of the village, particularly around the main road that runs through it.

Misleshevo itself is a smaller village, so the "best area" refers more to the convenience and access to its limited amenities. The main road, often referred to as the R1201 or the road connecting it to Struga, is where you'll find most guesthouses and local shops. It's a relatively quiet area, allowing for a relaxed stay.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the village's calm atmosphere. They can enjoy strolls through the village and the surrounding natural landscapes, perhaps visiting some of the local churches or simply relaxing away from busier tourist spots.

For solo travellers seeking a quiet base while exploring the wider Struga region, staying in Misleshevo offers good value. It provides easy access by car to the larger town of Struga and the shores of Lake Ohrid, which are just a short drive away.

When is the best time to go to Misleshevo?

The best time to go to Misleshevo is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and exploring the region.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it ideal for walking, hiking, or enjoying the natural beauty of the area without the intense heat of mid-summer. The lush greenery of spring and the rich colours of autumn provide a picturesque backdrop for photography and relaxation.

For those planning to spend time by Lake Ohrid, which is a short drive from Misleshevo, these periods also offer a more tranquil experience compared to the busy peak summer season.
