A stay here is guaranteed to improve your “vacationing” self. Dolphin House is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by lakes, trees and green space. Here, you have the option of JUST DOING NOTHING and we have the comfortable sofas, chairs and loungers to facilitate that. We love big extended families, golf groups, tennis teams and church groups and provide TWO GOLF CARTS to take your crew wherever they’re headed. While there is space for two cars behind the golf carts in our driveway, an off-site parking lot is a short walk away. What do you need a car for anyway? Look at a map and you’ll see everything is a golf cart ride away, including the BEACH, Publix, restaurants, shops, entertainment and kiddie fun in Baytowne Village, and, well, you get the picture. Everyone was very courteous, from the front gate guardsmen to property management the entire time. We enjoyed getting around everywhere on the golf carts! We had golf cart access everywhere, including both pools, the beach (the kids really enjoyed the tunnel under the highway) and even the local grocery store and near by shopping and restaurants. The neighbor hood amenities were wonderful, convenient and fun. Sitting on the porch overlooking the golf course was relaxing and therapeutic. The golf carts were a great compliment to getting around the property. Beach access is great and close to everything in Destin. Can't wait to go back! ##### Amanda L. We were notified of 2 problems before we arrived which were very disappointing. We choose this house because it had 2 golf carts and bunk beds. We were notified the day before arrival that one of the golf cards was broken and one of the bunk beds as well. I also reached out to them on the Monday of our stay to let them know one of the stools was wobbly and a bit dangerous for kids along with a faucet which was leaking. We needed to keep a washcloth wrapped around it so it would not leak all over the counter. I didn’t hear anything back until Thursday. They offered to come on Friday to fix the stool and faucet but I asked them to not bother until we left because we were leaving the next day. There never was any resolution for the bunk bed or the golf cart. I was not impressed with the property manager and would have preferred to work directly with the property owner. The problems were not resolved and communication with the property manager was disappointing. Again, the over all house was delightful. The issue for us was how it was managed and lack of response to the problems which popped up. If the owners would like to know about our stay directly, they are welcome to call. ##### Patricia M. The two-golf carts were an added bonus; they made the short trip to the beach very easy. My only complaint is with the furniture within the house. Considering the high price of the property, I would have expected the living room furniture and outside patio furniture to be in better condition; they definitely are worn down and need to be replaced. The outdoor cushions were so dirty, we didn’t even want to sit on them. Also, the master bedroom mattress is sinking and needs to be replaced. The property was very spacious and clean, but I would not stay in this property again due to the mattress alone. ##### Harmony F. Not only was it fully stocked with everything we needed, it even came with BEACH GEAR (beach toys, coolers, wagon etc.) we literally only had to bring a few items such as food and beverage and our clothes. I found and booked this gem for my little family and our two best friend couples. I was a little worried that it would be a bit tight with 6 adults and 3 kids but it actually couldn’t have been a more perfect fit for all of us! From each room having a king bed to the kids on suite bathroom having a bathtub and everything in between; we couldn’t have been happier with the space and accommodations of this home. The golf carts made the trip seamless! We were all able to fit on both carts comfortably. Also, having two made it so easy to split up and go our own direction here and there. We loved being able to jump on a cart and run over to Publix, Starbucks, the beach or wherever else our little hearts desired! The back patio faces the golf course and away from the hot afternoon sun, which made the evenings in the backyard VERY comfortable and enjoyable. If I had to pick just a few things that I was not over the moon about, it would be some of the dishes, carpets and back patio furniture. The carpets throughout the house were worn and dirty, there were a wide range of dishes that had been put back in the cabinets with food and finger prints on them and then the back patio furniture cushions were also worn and dirty. These obviously are very quick and easy fixes and didn’t at all hinder our time at the house, just a few suggestions to make guest’s stay even better! ##### Baylee M. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Matthew B. 11 août 2020 #### Enjoyable stay at beach house Property was very nice and offered the amenities we were looking for. The house was well appointed, beds were very comfortable, and use of the golf carts was a huge plus. All of the beach supplies and toys were very helpful, as it prevented us from having to either pack them upon travel, or purchase at the beach. I would recommend this beach house to other families who have either young or old kids. There is plenty of stuff to do at the beach or the in the wharf area, especially once restaurants and stores fully open back up from COVID. For some constructive feedback, I would recommend adding in a few more cooking utensils and pots/pans, along with upgrading the coffee maker and toaster. Overall a very nice property and would rent again. ##### Matthew B. The pools were very small and not accommodating enough for small children. The beach was beautiful but was farther away from our rental property than we like and the directions on how to get to the beach was very vague. We had a incident with the bunk bed in one of the bedrooms that involved my two six year old grandsons that should have never happened. The bed had been broken previously before and patch/repaired resulting in an accident that could have been tragic. Maintenance did arrive shortly and remove the bed but we were not accommodated in any way making sleeping arrangements very tight. In a very quiet location that backs up to a golf course. All of the rooms have their own bathroom and the room with the bunk beds is perfect for the kids but would work for adults on the bottom bed if needed. The house was very clean and had plenty of towels and linens. It also has two golf carts which is awesome!
