Nicely decorated and new feeling. I contacted the host once about fishing gear, and they were very prompt to answer. Unfortunately was only 1 rod there that had a hook, the other didn’t and no other supplies. Also they charge for using the fishing rod. Recommend bringing your own stuff. We enjoyed our stay but are giving 3 stars because the ice maker doesn’t work, and they need black out curtains in master br. The sun is brutal in the morning. But mostly because they have a ring camera that is facing right at the hot tub and motion activated cameras facing the hottub, firepit, yard, and back deck that follow you everywhere you go and record what you’re saying. It was very unnerving and felt very intrusive on our privacy and frankly perverted. Will not be back due to the cameras. It is also not private at all to the neighbors and they were outside all day and it just felt like we could not relax or have any privacy. It’s a shame, because they have really set the cabin up very nicely and beautiful. It has a ton of potential. ##### Amanda W. The location was perfect — so close to downtown Blue Ridge and a bunch of other activities. We spent mornings, afternoons, and evenings on the porch watching the fishing boats go by. Our dog loved it too! Bonus points for the giant walk-in closet! We even had to extend our stay after I hurt myself on a hike and couldn’t drive. We even arrived to soft jazz playing, which set the perfect tone.The highlight was the stunning living area surrounded by windows with breathtaking river views—so close it felt like we were on a houseboat. Downtown Blue Ridge is just 10 minutes away, and we loved visiting Mercier Orchards multiple times.If you’re looking for a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path getaway with peaceful, healing surroundings, this is your place.
