"Cute house in convenient location, but BEWARE the train horn at 4 a.m.! Alas this is not something anticipated and it is NOT the fault of the excellent hosts. But the house is located one block from a train crossing without gates and for 3 nights we were awakened by the loud blast of a train going through each crossing (there are about 4 of them about 2 or 3 blocks from the house). The train has to blow its horn at crossings without gates and the first night it woke us out of a dead sleep we thought it was a tornado siren. Scared us!The house itself is pet friendly, and has gorgeous wood floors, stocked kitchen and coffee bar, two tvs, a nice writing desk by the window, two bedrooms and two ac units in windows. We had the heat on for one chilly morning and it works great. Loved the front porch with all the windows overlooking the street, and there is a fenced backyard for pets/kids. Plenty of hot water for showers as well. Because it's in a neighborhood with sidewalks, it makes for a terrific walk in the morning as well. In summary, we loved the house and the location, except for the train horn waking us up."

"The cabin is beautiful and amazingly clean. The beds were comfortable. I have two dachshunds. They enjoyed the shoreline and waves. Great weather. Lake Huron was beautiful and the sound of the waves very peaceful. The host was great. He responded to my messages very quickly. We truly enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing time and I would recommend this property to anyone."

"Place was amazing and it was great for kids. Only concern is that 1 bedroom does not have an AC unit in it and got pretty warm for the couple that stayed in there. Other than that it was a great stay"

"We had such a wonderful stay here! The private location was exactly what we were looking for, and it made for such a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The beach was beautiful, and the house was very clean and well cared for.This trip was especially meaningful for our family because it was the first vacation we’ve ever taken with our dog, who is almost 9 years old. We know these opportunities won’t last forever, so we’re really grateful we got to make these memories here.David was also incredibly kind and allowed us to check in early, which we truly appreciated and made our arrival so much easier. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly place to relax."
