Great basic chalets set in a stunning part of the country. Clean, tidy, warm and close to Methven, Mt Hutt and plenty of walking tracks.

Excellent water pressure in the shower! We had a little trouble figuring out which chalet was ours when we arrived after dark, but soon found the signs on each building saying which numbers they were, upstairs and down. We really appreciated that the heaters worked fast.

Peaceful perfect getaway from the big smoke

Lovely property. Great value for a couple of nights getaway. Very peaceful, just sitting on the balcony listening to the birds sing, and looking at the stars at night. The property was clean, except for the bed protector, when we left we pulled the sheets off bed ready to wash. Bed protector was disgusting. Mattress could probably do with replacing, getting quite old. Great internet. Nice having Netflix for the evenings. I would recommend this property as good value and pleasant surroundings.

What an awesome place to stay. Checked in on a Friday night and that was simple. The rooms were all really clean and looked lovely. All the bedrooms had heating and our stay was very cozy despite the snow outside which was awesome by the way. Couldn't have been a better base for our winter holiday and we will return. Thank you

Close to the snow

A few days skiing at Mount Hutt as were the other folk staying. Amazing value for money. Quiet, close enough to the snow and town. We might come back with the wider family and stay in the big unit

Kitchen and dinning areas are good. Living room was clean enough but some sort of fly issues there. The smart TV wasn't working effectively. Other than that it suited us for what we expected.

What I like: clean and roomy. full kitchen with everything we need. Bathroom is spacious too. Very clear instructions to follow to check in and out. Handy location - close to Mt Hutt and not far to Methven town centre too. What I don’t like: the bunk beds are wobbly, with no safety rails - so one of the kids had to curl up on sofa for the 2 nights. Gap between the top bunk and ceiling is very narrow- not enough sitting up height. Sound proofing is poor. We stayed in the 2 bed-rooms downstairs, but we could hear the people talking in the upstairs unit- we were kept awake till after 11pm and they might be annoyed with us getting up early in the morning heading to the skiing field.
