Hosts very welcoming and helpful with information about the area. Lovely big room and ensuite overlooking the river. Comfortable bed and the room had a fan! The only stay of 4 that did provide a fan in the room which was a godsend in the heat that weekend. Really nice breakfast, fresh fruit salad, the greek yogurts were delicious, croissants, bread, cereals, jams, honey, my husband particularly liked the butter, ham, cheese, all very enjoyable. We hadn't intended to stay out late but the music festival was on, which was brilliant, but dark on walk home as no street lighting. Just make sure you have phone battery for torch to walk back late. This is not a negative, just a tip, because the place is lovely to stay over where it is situated on the river. Lots of spaces for people to gather or just do their own thing. The highlight was undoubtedly the large swimming pool where everyone spent most of their time. Nice outdoor dining area and BBQ where we ate most of our meals. The patio at the front of the house was perfect for sitting in shade when the sun got too hot, looking out into the green rolling lawn and a beautiful redwood tree. Lots of games for the kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table too. Very well equipped kitchen with separate larder, two fridges, coffee machines and everything a cook would need. Patrice was very helpful and responsive.
