Nice Staff Hotel needs Upgrades

The hotel staff is great, the breakfast bar is great, the hotel however has limited parking spaces. The rooms are out dated no night stands, no digital alarm clock, no extra chair in the room. I did not like it felt I was staying in a crappy place. The staff on the other had, they were Excellent

Me ha encantado, el hotel es en toda la zona rosa, hay bares, discotecas y restaurantes. Y al mismo tiempo, no existen molestias por el ruido muy seguro.

Second Time was the Worst

This was my second time staying at the Plaza Rosa, I would never stay there again. The hotel was trying to get us for "extras" since our 1st day. A friend and I booked a room with two beds, they read us the fine print that said this was just a preference. An extra $10 a night. We had a friend over for a few hours one night, they charged us an extra $40 (a lot in Colombian pesos, almost a full night's stay) and embarrassed our friend into having to show her ID. I've been to Medellín and Colombia several times now, have many friends there and understand there are issues with "pre-paid services." But local hotel staff know very well who is and who isn't "pre-paid." On top of this the Internet is horrendous. The hotel and rooms are very dim/gloomy and it needs a major upgrade. Pay a few extra $$$ and stay at Art Hotel, Dietz, LePark or elsewhere. At least until Plaza Rosa has a major renovation of both interior structure and staff.

Horrible hotel with Horrible management

As we checked in, the front desk refused to give 2 keys, even though it was 2 people staying in one room. She very rudely said it was the hotel policy since they did not have too many key cards. Later the manager arrived who was a pure idiot and should not have been given this job. When we arrived in the room, it was stinky and smelly. The air contioner was a single unit a/c unit which was very old and made too much noise, so we could not sleep very well. The bed mattress was cheap and hard like in old hotels. The bathroom was very tiny with no fan. Not enough towels. Overall, it is the most horrible hotel I have been to. I no longer trust Expedia's star rating system and because of this experience, I will no longer use Expedia webpage in the future.

Hotel con aire acondicionado y baños viejos

El hotel regular. El aire acondicionado de los viejos de esos de caja se daño y no tenian ventilador para facilitarme y tampoco tenian servicio de mantenimiento nocturno para solucionar el problema . Los baños son anticuados los colchones duros y viejos en pocas palabras es un hotel q como no oonga atencion a las criticas va a desaparecer del gusto de su clientela.

Good hotel

The hotel is situated in a good neighborhood and the staff is very friendly. The only problem was the noise from the street below. Other than that, we had a fantastic time. Would recommend this hotel.

Guess

If you have a guess that ether wants to use the bathroom or have some drinks at the room, you need to pay for them to come up there, so I believe its not right as you already paid for the hotel, the guess will not stay over night nor eat free breakfast, so why is that any guess needs to pay very ridicules.

Hotel agradable cerca de todo.

La atención muy buena, el hotel se encuentra en una buena ubicación ya que incluso se puede caminar denoche sin problemas. También se puede encontrar variedad de restaurantes y bares a su alrededor y lo mejor sentirse segura en el área. En lo personal me encanto no dudaría en volver.

Good location

Rooms are clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Main desk attendants speak English. Breakfast is ok, and plentiful. However, the cleaning personnel make way too much noise outside of the rooms in the morning.

Terrible noisy, dirty hotel without helpful staff.

About rooms: Dirty rooms, one without AC, not enough towels, chains to lock hanging by on screw on very damaged frame, paint damaged by water around bathroom. They made the bed without removing hairs (body and head) from my previous night. Hotel staff did not support any requests (they don't care), tried to charge me taxes twice, very noisy room. I normally spend around 80 nights on hotels per year, this is my first complaint in 3 years.

Front desk staff was not professional managed by their manager Edwin who is charging extra on any visitor doesn't give receipts taking cash money in his pocket embarrassed me infront of my family made me sign up contract in Spanish language which I couldn't read it and extra taxes I'm not suppose to pay

Fue una bonita experiencia, el hotel cumple con las expectativas que teníamos como grupo familiar, excelente atención y buena organización que bien podría estar en otros países suramericanos con la línea de naturaleza y vida que es el tema actual, donde muestra la riqueza de Colombia ...todo esto en una bella e interesante ciudad como es Medellín, moderna, amable, tranquila, su gente muy educada... ideal para vacaciones...

Hotel pesadilla

El hotel es muy viejo, las habitaciones no tienen luz natural y el aire acondicionado es muy ruidoso, la cama es incomoda, el baño es muy pequeño y no hay donde poner nada. La decoración es exagerada en mi habitación habia 3 cuadros gigantes de pajaros lo que hizo mas incomoda la estadia, no lo recomiendo y no volveria, tiene una gran ubicacion pero es un horrible lugar
