It has a neat bar that is very well-known among gringos of Mazatlan, and a pool, and a parking lot which is really convenient if you travel by car. The room is small but has everything you need. The furniture is a bit old, and the bathroom requires some attention and remodeling. The room is on par with a Motel 6 and set up the exact same way. The rooms are very small, but clean. Some very much older furnishings. Our lamp was screwed to the end table to not be stolen, which was weird. lol The beds were fine. The pool is not heated and is mostly in the shade so you cant swim in it, only look at it. The area is convenient to bars and restaurants. To use the beach, though, you have to rent a spot/chairs/table/umbrella for about $20 - $25/day plus tip and you have to go through a public access cuz The Playa Maz wont let you go through their building if not a guest. We were stopped by the security immediately and rerouted.
