Find hotels in Marías from CA $71

The best area to stay in Marías is the coastal strip around the main surfing beaches, particularly near Rincón and Aguada, as Marías itself is an inland municipality.

For those seeking a relaxed beach holiday with easy access to water sports and dining, remaining close to the beaches of Rincón is ideal. This area offers a selection of boutique hotels and guesthouses, often with ocean views. You'll find a good mix of restaurants and cafes along the main roads, such as Road 413, known locally as the "Road to Happiness," which winds along the coast connecting several popular surf spots like Domes Beach and Sandy Beach.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will appreciate the more secluded properties found slightly outside the main Rincón town centre, perhaps closer to the lighthouse. These often provide a more private experience with amenities like infinity pools and direct beach access, superb for enjoying sunsets without the crowds.

Families will find good options near the less intense beaches, such as Steps Beach, which offers calmer waters for swimming and snorkelling. There are also rental properties with multiple bedrooms and kitchens, providing the convenience and space needed for a family holiday.

The best time to go to Marías, Puerto Rico, is during the dry season, which runs from December to May.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny weather and comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit (24-30°C). This period avoids the higher humidity and increased rainfall of the summer and autumn months, ensuring ideal conditions for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities.

January and February are particularly popular for travellers looking to escape colder climates, offering a refreshing and reliable sunshine break. While these months see more visitors, the excellent weather makes it worthwhile for those prioritising a pleasant and predictable holiday experience.

For couples seeking a romantic getaway, the dry season provides great conditions for leisurely days on the sand, exploring the local area, and enjoying sunsets without the worry of rain.
