3.0 star property
Moroni
7.2 out of 10, Good, (66 reviews)
"The hotel is well located and the personal is very helpful and dedicated. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, the bed is comfy. The restaurant is good, with not many options for lunch and dinner but the breakfast is diversified and has many good options. The only minus is the bathroom cleaning, that could be improved. Overall is a good hotel for short and longer stays."

"Le Retag est l’adresse incontournable à Moroni. Resort typique de type africain, est bien situé et si personnel avenant, sympathique et compétent. Petit dejeuner inclus, option de restauration et permet d’observer de beaux couchers de soleil. Navette pour l’aéroport pratique. Heureux de mon séjour!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Maoueni?
The best area to stay in Maoueni is along the coastal stretch near the town centre, particularly around the main beach areas.

This area provides convenient access to Maoueni's primary attractions and the Indian Ocean. You'll find a selection of guesthouses and small hotels here, many offering direct beach access or sea views. The town itself is relatively small, so everything is within easy reach, including local eateries and shops.

For couples seeking a relaxing escape, staying near the beachfront offers romantic strolls and opportunities to enjoy the ocean. The sound of the waves and the peaceful atmosphere make it ideal for unwinding. You can spend your days lounging by the water or exploring the nearby coastal paths.

Families will also find this area suitable due to its proximity to the beach, allowing for easy access for children to play.
When is the best time to go to Maoueni?
When planning a trip to Maoueni, the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 25°C to 30°C, with lower humidity and less rainfall. This makes it ideal for enjoying the outdoors, whether you're exploring the local villages, relaxing on the beaches, or discovering the natural beauty of Ngazidja. The calmer seas also make activities like snorkelling and diving more enjoyable.

Conversely, the rainy season, from November to April, brings higher humidity and more frequent, heavier downpours. While the island remains green and lush, travel can be more challenging due to muddy roads, and some outdoor activities might be disrupted.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Maoueni.
How much is the nightly rate at a Maoueni hotel?
Prices for hotels in Maoueni often vary, but you can find a great deal from CA $94 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
