It is a 10 minute walk from the train station and less to many restaurants. Very safe area and the outdoor balcony was very nice in the evenings. The pictures were accurate to the listing and the apartment was bigger than we thought it might be which was great! Those stairs are no joke but two elevators that worked just fine! Would stay again if ever were in Lucerne again. Just a little note that we arrived on a Sunday and were going to go to grocery store and get settled in, but many stores and grocery stores are closed on Sundays. We walked from the train station with luggage --not a far walk, but later discovered the bus dropped us right at the door. Using the SBB app is invaluable. We discovered the little bakery on the same block for breakfast with delicious pastries and coffee.
