Enchanting 1-bedroom lodge in Saint Helena

10/10 Excellent
"Best place to stay on the island! The host was extremely helpful and kind. It’s well located to Jamestown, hiking, and all the main tours. The house is immaculate and very comfortable. The entire island is beautiful, historical, and a refreshing change of pace. One of the best vacations I’ve ever taken and the lodging was definitely part of it!"

This area is the historical centre of Longwood, offering a pleasant and accessible base for exploring. You'll find a few local shops and eateries, and it's well-connected by road to other parts of the island. The main draw is its proximity to significant historical sites.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of history will appreciate this area. You're just a short walk from the Plantation House, the official residence of the Governor of St. Helena, and the Longwood House, where Napoleon Bonaparte spent his final years. The area is also surrounded by open spaces, great for leisurely strolls.

When is the best time to go to Longwood?
The best time to visit Longwood, St. Helena, is during the drier, warmer months of October to May.

This period generally offers pleasant weather, making it ideal for exploring the historic sites and the island's natural beauty. You can expect more sunshine and fewer rainy days, which is superb for outdoor activities like hiking to Diana's Peak or visiting Napoleon's residences. The comfortable temperatures are also better for children when exploring the various attractions around Longwood, such as Plantation House or the Heart-Shaped Waterfall.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the consistently fine weather for leisurely strolls through the island's gardens or enjoying a quiet evening meal with ocean views.
