"The hotel is centrally located and everything in the downtown is easily walkable. The hotel itself is a really nice building but it did seem a bit tired. Could really do with a refresh plus something outside (flags, flowers, etc. ) to make it seem more welcoming. A big setback was the inoperable air conditioning for our entire stay - which we were not advised of until after we asked how to get it working. This occurred during the hottest bank holiday on record and the heat inside our room was punishing. That being said the staff were all friendly and helpful."

"Was given NO information about food availability whatsoever. Rarely saw anyone in the dining room or saw any evidence that food was served. We ate out the first evening and brought a take away meal in the second and ate in our room. We had some cereals and milk in our rooms for breakfast plus fresh fruit which I had taken from home."

"Lovely welcome by the staff who checked me in. Room was very clean. In hotel dinner was nice, but quite expensive compared to other places. Only reason why I ate in was other places had a longer waiting time for food. Breakfast was standard. Room was very quiet to got a very nice sleep."

"I did not have breakfast as I left the hotel very early, there's a nice selection of bar food throughout the day and evening. Everything about this hotel was great very friendly helpful staff I had a spacious room and a big double bed the only downside is you need to book a ground floor room if you have mobility problems as there is no lift on the upside it's less than a 10 minute walk to departure. I would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect night before you fly stay at this hotel. "

"Look beyond carpets that need replacing & corridor decor in the rear of the hotel. Rooms were clean, bathrooms new, main entrance, reception & lounge were clean & renovated. Set in beautiful grounds, luscious greenery around excellent location, so close to Gulliver's Kingdom, very courteous & friendly staff, good enough selection for vegetarians at breakfast. As a family of 4, we loved it!"
