This is a beautiful home which unfortunately is not being as well maintained as it should be. In spite of that we had a lovely time and enjoyed the peace and serenity. The grounds are lovely and the pool looked great. Just a shame the weather wasn’t better for us to enjoy. This would be an ideal place to host a family get together with plenty of room for the grandkids too. Definitely good value for money.
This place was fabulous for us all to relax and create more family memories. Tennis pool and beautiful gardens for grandies to play. Everything we needed.
Needed a bit of a tidy around pool area with a couple of unmentionables left lying around from previous guests! Luckily we arrived early so grandbabies didn’t see anything.
Other than that it was fantastic.
This place would make a fantastic wedding venue. Plenty of garden photo ops. Great gardens.
On the flip side, it appears as if no-one had been here for a while. Hanging cob-webs, mould in the water filters, lawn needed mowing, outdoor furniture was strewn across the lawn, outdoor table was mouldy, oven needed a clean, etc. The new carpet meant a few doors wouldn't open so wardrobes were unavailable.

Longbush:
Good: beautiful spacious property, lots of room, lovely location, plenty of parking, well suited to a large group including kids, swimming pool, nice trees, close to Gladstone, half hour from Carterton and Masterton, big TV room, outdoor dining area and BBQNot so good: lots of rodents, lots of rodent poop. Plumbing of mixed quality, some showers not working. Kitchen equipment pretty minimal (just enough to make a basic meal) and not really adapted to large group needs.
The house has a lot going for it with several large living spaces, and good sized bedrooms, but we were disappointed in several aspects: the maintenance, lacking provisions, some kitchen equipment insufficient even for a medium sized group and some items not there, and most of all a major security concern. The place seems poorly maintained with door handles missing, some cabinetry coming apart and many lights not working, including outside lights.I did have to contact the property manager about the lack of provisions and security concerns. Yes they did help but it wasted at least 1/2 a day of our vacation, and added a great deal of stress, sorting out the provisions and the security issue couldn't be fixed until after we left. The thing is, all these issues were avoidable if the house had been properly provisioned, maintained and checked before we arrived.
