Family holiday

We enjoyed a weeks stay at this property. A great villa and pool area in a fantastic location. Thank you Mane for being so helpful. Excellent communication and help organising the rest of our trip!

fantastic holiday accommodation

had a wonderfully peaceful holiday. very beautiful surroundings, but you have to realize that you are far away. the house was in tip top condition, kitchen and outdoor kitchen were well equipped, everything was there. 1 small negative point, bathroom in the annex had a musty smell. but we enjoyed it very much, thanks.

Superbe villa au calme

Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cette villa andalouse meublée avec goût . La description de la villa faite par la propriétaire est conforme à la réalité . Cette villa est très spacieuse pour 10 et bien isolée comme nous cherchions . Les vues des terrasses et des fenêtres sont magnifiques . Les lits sont très confortables . La piscine est assez grande pour faire des volley comme nous aimons . Franck nous a accueilli très gentiment et est à notre écoute tout le long du séjour . L’attention du petit panier garni à l’arrivée fait plaisir . Il ne faut pas s’inquiéter pour les courses car il y a tout ce qu’il faut à l’épicerie du village qui se trouve à 4 km pour racheter ce qu’il manque une fois le gros caddie fait à Loja ,le jour de l’arrivée ( Zagra). Le petit bar Tokyo ( 4Km)est très sympa pour boire un coup et manger des tapas un soir ( on peut y aller à pieds mais attention au retour ça monte …) La salle de muscu est très complète . Le seul petit bémol est l’eau qui est parfois coupée en pleine journée ,mais c’est indépendant de la propriétaire c’est courant en Espagne . Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir . Merci

Long awaited holiday

We had booked this villa pre covid and the owner kindly postponed each year until we were finally able to go this summer. The communication with the owner was excellent and any problem or query we had was responded to immediately. The villa is up in the mountains, away from it all, which is just what we wanted. The town of Loja was about 25mins away and had plenty of cafes and two good sized supermarkets. (Lidl and Mercadona) We spent many days in the pool or alongside the pool getting the long awaited relaxation in. The villa is very spacious and just as per the photos. Just love the views. We drove to Granada from the villa a couple of times as it was only an hour away. We also visited the Caminito Del Rey (gorge walk) , an experience not to fotget and was about 1hr 30 away but go early in the summer! There is a riding centre about 45mins away which we went to also. I would highly recommend the villa and the owner.

Beautiful spacious property in superb region

Easy to book and to communicate with Mané, our host. The information given to get to the property was really helpful as the main Loja road was closed when we arrived. Frank, who manages the property is close by and really helpful. The house is lovely, comfortable and peaceful. Pool area is well equipped with loungers and shaded areas - something for everyone. We didn’t use the tv but the music system worked well. Perfect place to chill and relax in the sunshine . Lots of lovely villages to explore ( definitely need a car) as well as the stunning Moorish architecture in Cordoba and Granada. So much to see do little time!!! We will have to come back as we totally fell in love with the region . Highly recommended!

Very pleasant stay at the property. Nice and quiet and relaxing.

Very nice property with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Kitchen facilities were excellent. We personally would have liked air conditioning in all the bedrooms as the children struggled with the heat at night. Very quiet location was nice for a relaxing stay, a car needed for any time away from the villa as local towns too far to walk to.

wonderful villa

We were a party of 9 staying end of August. The villa was more than adequate for a party of that size and felt very safe for younger and older children. The villa itself was well thought out with different seating areas- in the house and around the pool. The kitchen was well equipped and sofas/beds comfortable. Lovely decor. The pool area was fabulous and had the most comfortable sunbeds ever and various seating areas to lounge out of direct sun too. Location wise the villa is isolated and most trips out to Granada, Cordoba and Malaga do involve a 30 minute drive down the mountain before you hit the main roads. That said there is a village 5 mins away with a supermarket and restaurant. Loja is the nearest town and has many large supermarkets. We though Lidl was by far the best for choice, quality of fresh food and price. Dont think Lidl Uk, it felt more upmarket than that. the benefits of the location though were amazing views, spectacular sunsets and space. We ran and cycled when we were there and felt safe. It was lovely to run with such lovely views. also to mention that for me, who gets bitten all over on every holiday and take every anti mosquito resource available, there was a refreshing lack of them and the only bites we got were in Cordoba and then only a couple, In the mornings and evenings there is a wonderful breeze flowing through the house so sleeping at night was not an issue as things did cool down even if it had been 35 degrees outside. Simply though this is a wonderful villa . You can get away from it all and also travel to some great local towns and onto cities further away. if this is your type of holiday you will love this villa.

Relaxing stay with fantastic views

We stayed only 1 week and all 10 of us agreed, 2 weeks would have been a lot better. Everything that is in the property description is accurate and pictures represent the place correctly. The house sleeps 10 persons very comfortable and is large enough so that there is plenty of room for everybody. Special mention to master bedroom in the upstairs, it is huge with a lovely bathroom and amazing terrace. Kitchen has all the tools you need and plenty of plates and utensils for a big group. But the pool area is the king! It is big, gets sun pretty much all day and it has fantastic views of the surrounding olive gardens. The outdoor kitchen is well equipped and the fridge in the outdoor kitchen is a nice touch, no need to go inside to grap a beer :). Communication with the owner prior to our trip was easy and fast, we asked few questions and answers were provided very quickly. And the information on how to reach the villa, excellent, you really can't get lost with those. The location is quiet, so if you are looking for shops or bars in walking distance, this is not a place for you (although I guess you could walk to the nearest one, Tokio, but with heat, I don't think that I would enjoy the walk back :) ). All in all, highly recommended, we had a lovely time and would not hesitate to visit again.

Fantastic Stay

The house had everything we were after with the added benefit of incredible views as the sun set. The large living area inside was perfect for our big group and the external areas were well maintained and full of different spots to relax around the large pool. All the rooms are finished to a good quality and it is clearly a well looked after property. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing break.

A little piece of Andalucian heaven

Loathe to tell others about this property in desperation to keep it a secret, I am torn as the property and its owner deserve a candid review. We stayed in August 2018, having visited the area in May looking for our own property, If you are looking for walks to restaurants and human life within walking distance, this isn't the place for you, so read no further. If you are looking for tranquillity, space, peace and magnificent views, pure relaxation - then this is the place to be. The property adequately houses 10 people in 5 bedrooms. There are 2 master suites (one in the house and one accessed through the courtyard) double and single beds. Two families could stay here without getting under each other's feet. There is a large terrace on the first floor and even though we were there for a week, we had no reason to use it as did not move from the glorious pool area. The outside kitchen was well equipped and the fridge handy for ease of access to drinks. The pool beds were the best we've used and the area clean and well maintained. The inside space of the house is immense with a great area for the kids watching DVDs (or playing the wii) with a comfortable sofa area looking out onto rolling hills and olive groves. There is also an external fitness room with rowing machine, weights, bike and a pool table. The beds were comfortable and little touches like toiletries and even laundry baskets, made a difference. We stopped at the Supermarket on the way and did a huge shop to last 4 days and went back on the 4th day to stock up again. You need to think about what you need as you can't pop out to a shop. (Think kitchen roll, toilet rolls etc.) Depending on previous guests you won't always know what is at the property (we left a lot). Although we didn't visit anywhere in our week at this house, we have previously. Iznajar is very pretty and Granada is stunning. You are an hour and a half from Malaga (nearer Granada) so there is plenty to do if you are happy to drive. Take insect repellent / plug ins in the Summer months as we were bitten to bits, but a small price to pay for such an amazing time. The owner responded to questions promptly and gave comprehensive information, a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely return - and if we move we will recommend this house to our visitors.
