The cabin, however, could definitely use a facelift and a good cleaning. It was pretty dirty including the hot tub. There was a ladybug infestation. It was bad. New usable utensils would have been nice to have. I realize this is a rental and in the woods but things need to be replaced every now and then. The table was so sticky even after cleaning it. Owners were very responsive as there was a broken window and they agreed to allow early entry by 1 hour to us. I don’t think we would rent this cabin again. ##### Susan W. After reading all the 5 star rating I expected more. The kitchen dishes, silverware, and cooking pans were very old. I have never stayed anywhere where they were in such bad condition. The bedding and curtains are all faded and need replaced. The rugs are worn and dirty. No light over microwave and no hot water in the kitchen unless the dishwasher is running. This year we decided to upgrade to a more larger & secluded cabin for only two nights, so that we would still spend the same amount but have a nicer cabin. It just simply wasn't worth it with this property. First off, it looks just like it does in the pictures. It's a beautiful house and spacious. The problems all start with the water system. The water pressure is lacking to say the least. It comes and goes and when two people are using water (sink, shower, etc.) at the same time, one is freezing cold and the pressure is virtually non existent. Also, the water completely shut off for 15 minutes during the day so that it could run a cycle through the water softener. The shower upstairs didn't work correctly. The kitchen is not very well stocked and the items that are within it don't work the best. The can openers were junk and it was a struggle for our supper on Friday night. The thermostat is very slow to kick in as well. It takes the AC a good 3-4 hours to get to the temperature you are wanting and even then it has a mind of it's own at times. This wasn't a problem for us because it was in the summer time, but I could definitely see the basement temperature being an issue in the winter time. For our particular family, it was just a disappointing experience for the amount of money we spent vs our traditional way of doing it. It's not worth cutting your vacation short a day to spend the money that this one requires. ##### Jeff B. Large yard allowed for games. The home was beautiful and plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 infants and 3 dogs. Lot is very private and loved the large front porch. We only have 2 complaints.
